Garrick Hotel Bar — Restaurant in Winnipeg

Heavily infested with bedbugs, the last time i stayed there. Don't know if it's still ongoing as they deny it and people there aren't posting lol. Spraying literally did Nothing! Everyone who sleeps here takes bugs with them in clothes,shoes and items to everywhere else. Box springs should be incased and all furniture legs taped properly. Use painter's tape as a base under clear double side carpet tape you can get at home depot because the double side won't come off surfaces after on. Put grey or black duct tape over it to conceal the color. Do on all furniture legs and shoe mat and a layered strip at door base.Never apply double side tape directly on surfaces. Duct removes nicely. Carpet tape stays sticky for long time. The only way to remove clear double side carpet tape if directly on a surface is with WD-40 and a paint scraper.Duct can be removed and refreshed with carpet razer blade and tweezers. If u see a bedbug don't let it live to proliferate- tape over it with a peice of duct tape then fold it over to dispose of. Wish i had a cell at the time for picture evidence to spare someone from the nightmare of seeing them crawl around everynight and having them all in the bed biting my head. I rated my experience, and then specifically can back to add a comment due to the condescending reply. This organization and its operators are wildly unprofessional. For example, look at every single reply to a experience rating. If you can't collectively learn from how patrons are feeling about your organization and the immediate response is "well others like it" ..... you fail to actually use these feedbacks effectively. I empathize with whomever is writing these replies, it must physically hurt having such a large ego and lack of self awareness....

Started coming here about 5 years ago for a few beers before hopping the bus to the Bomber games. Bartenders are always friendly and run a tight ship with respect to potential unruliness so the place has never felt unsafe when we've been there. Drinks are cheap and the bar is very clean.
