Friendly service, good portions, and taste great. I ordered their highest rated food on their google reviews but didn't realize it had blood pudding. I like it. it might taste gamey for others. I also bought Vietnamese coffee which is $7 for large though I don't think it's large enough since most of it is ice. With the pho + coffee and tips, it cost me $30 which is kinda pricey but it taste amazing with good portion to kinda justify the cost. I'll be back and try other stuff and update my review.
Update (second visit, takeout):
I ordered shrimp coconut pancakes, "Little Saigon Deluxe Broken Rice With Grilled Pork Chop, Shredded Pork Skin, Egg Meat Loaf, And Fried Egg," wings (sweet chili; fish sauce glazed), and drinks (Vietnamese coffee and salted egg yolk foam coffee).
I really like their wings as they have crispy batter even after eating it 30 mins later as takeout. The sweet chili is perfectly balanced with tanginess, sweetness and saltiness with a little hint of spice. Their grilled pork is very tender and tasty.
Service was great too. I didn't know they had a Thursday wing deal if you ordered a drink. They gave me a discount anyway on my first when I asked about it and tried to order another one (which they don't have to but they kindly offered). So if you're looking for a place to do wing night, try this one (they're $11 for 6 full wings).
I'm not sure about the pancakes, i think there are better options price-wise (the shrimp was rubbery). The salted egg coffee doesn't make sense too as I couldn't taste the salted egg; would suggest the regular Vietnamese coffee. One thing to note though, the Vietnamese coffee tasted different on my two visits, first was less sweet and the next one was on the...
Read moreWe dined here for lunch after doing some shopping. The waitress greeted us kindly and was very attentive to us during our stay.
We had the Deluxe Rare Beef, Brisket, Tripe, and Beef Meatballs Pho and the Shrimp rolls wrapped in rice paper with peanut sauce.
We also had a Vietnamese egg yolk coffee and a lychee slush.
The Pho was very delicious and carried generous servings of beef. There was sriracha and hoisin sauce at the table if desired, but the broth was delicious as is and we didn't feel the need to add it. It's an especially pleasant dish to enjoy in the cold since it warms you up nicely.
The rolls paired excellently with the peanut sauce. It one of the better peanut sauces I've tried among Vietnamese restaurants that I have tried personally. Somewhat sweet and a little crunchy thanks to the peanut chunks it contained.
The egg yolk coffee had a nice creamy consistency and if you like sweeter coffees, I would highly recommend you give it a try.
We came with our two year old daughter and the waitress was able to easily accommodate her food allergies without any hassle. She also came by to check on us whenever it seemed like our daughter had dropped some cutlery to ask us if we needed replacement cutlery. It's great to have someone so attentive and helpful when you're dining with a toddler!
The restaurant was very clean and there was some nice music that helped to create a welcoming atmosphere.
We are looking forward to coming here again many times in the future and trying...
Read moreAmazing service, incredibly clean, and the food is delicious.
Only complaint about the food would be the small amount of seafood you get when choosing seafood as your protein. I suggest sticking with the tofu or animal proteins They charge a premium for the seafood option, yet they also give you quite a bit less seafood than they do beef, chicken etc. Also, the menu doesn't specify that they serve imitation crab, but it is in fact flavoured Pollock, not crab. That's par for the course with asian food, real crab would make the dishes unaffordable for most, but the menu should not say "crab" if they're serving imitation crab. Because of the price premium for the seafood option and "crab" in the menu it's reasonable for one to expext to get crab rather than pollock crab stick.
The atmosphere isn't wonderful. It's very clean and very well maintained, but it feels like you're in a community centre social hall or a cafeteria, the lighting is as bright as a cafeteria too. There's no decor or personality to speak of. This is also par for the course, with asian restaurants, but it's still...
