Wendy's — Restaurant in Winnipeg

A nice combo location from an era where Wendy's actually owned Tim Hortons for a little while. The interior was freshened up at some point but if you told me they did it just yesterday, I could probably buy it. Lots of tables, many of which have a power outlet and also USB plugs (type A, 2.1 amp) for those that bring their laptop or tablet along and are in need of juice. Food quality and service standards are great as with any other Wendy's, and there's two Coca-Cola Freestyle machines for your beverage needs. You might notice that supplies like extra napkins or salt/pepper packets are hard to come by, so you'll have to go back up to the counter and ask to get handed what you want. Later at night the drive-thru is run a little inconsistently and funky from one day to another, they may tell you to go to the first window to pay and then stay there to hand you your order, they could say go to the second to pay and pickup, or the standard pay at the first, pickup at the second like daytime, or sometimes they'll be confused themselves as to where they want to send you to begin with and give conflicting instructions. Be sure to be particularly attentive and don't drive off too quick to the windows from the speaker. It's also the closest location to the Transcona area and really the whole northeast quadrant of the city. While SkipTheDishes is usable here, it'll be quite expensive just to cover the base delivery fee unless there's a free over $20 promotion or similar, and if you're anywhere north of Kildare and/or east of Day/Wabasha, you might as well forget it as STD will refuse to take orders if you're not close enough to Plessis. This place must be under new management or something. I ordered off Uber eats today and I am missing half my order…. The fries for the past few times have been mediocre at best. But missing half of an Uber order?!?!? I know it gets confusing seeing all those different orders coming and going! Oof! A few employees might need a chat or training, one of two should suffice. In the mean time, I am hungry and between me and my wife we have about half of one meal… WOOHOOO!!!!!! You all get a participation award!!! All because you showed up to work!!!! Two days in a row, exact same order (4 spicy chicken wraps, 1 Dave’s triple, 1 large fries, 1 small poutine and 2 drink) and these guys can’t figure it out! I called two days in a row multiple times just to make sure everyone is okay. I think it’s a very simple order but the first time I’m missing half the order and the second time I’m getting items I didn’t order and missing items I did order. Neither time did I receive 4 wraps. Neither time were my fries fresh by any means. Once I finally got a hold of the manager, (I had to call Tim hortons next door to have them ask someone at Wendy’s to answer their own phone), he couldn’t be more rude! I don’t normally go to this location, but I was in the area today and decided to pick up some Wendy’s on my way home. To start, when I went to the window to pay I was told the total would be $39, but when I checked my bank account I was charged $44. (I am aware this would be the correct price, but they should be making sure they are giving customers the correct information). I ordered a baconator meal (with no cheese, I made sure to ask a 2nd time to make sure there was NO CHEESE, because I can not have cheese), a Dave’s single meal, and 1 bacon deluxe. I got cokes for both of the meals. When I got the food I immediately noticed that the coke tasted very watered down and as if it was mixed with sprite? Once I had gotten home I went to unwrap the baconator, and there WAS cheese on it. At first I thought it was one of the other burgers but then my partner unwrapped the other burgers to find that they were BOTH Dave’s singles, NOT one Dave’s single and one bacon deluxe like we had asked for. And the fries were supposed to be a large, but were only filled half way and soggy.
