Have visited tonight. First the positives, the food was lovely, the service very friendly. The only two things that were a let down was we ordered 4 fillet steaks, we then got told there was only 3 available, not a problem, my husband went for the ribs, only to be then told, it's Ok we can have 4 fillets. But, although the fillets were beautifully cooked, it was obvious that 3 fillets and been divided onto four plates. A fillet steak comes as a fillet, but what we received was a plate of 3 to 4 pieces of steak on A plate . Making it not worth the 2000 cve (£18) - secondly, a guy came round as entertainment. Laying on nails, then people standing on him with nails. But he kept coming round the table and we found it intimidating as we were eating! Then he started with the fire breathing act, but then went and stood behind my 2 year old grandson and my 2 month old grandson (who was in a buggy) throwing flames around. We ended up telling him to move away from the children and the waitresses (God bless them - told him to move away from the children) I'm sorry but that is not on. You can't throw flames stood 3 foot away from a 2 year old and a new baby. !! If that was my restaurant I would have told him to either a) stay to the pavement and don't walk in between the diners or b) move along - but they were the only problems. The owners were fantastic and friendly, the waitresses were very friendly. Was it not for the two problems listed above, I would most definitely have given 5 stars. Having said that the waitresses are absolutely lovely and honest. We gave a 2000 cve tip for them but bless them they told us we had given too much so we explained it was for them. Honesty and integrity is an...

Very nice Pub/Bar/Sports Bar/Restaurant. Call it what you will. Owned and run by an English gentleman called Dave. Lovely beer, lots of laughs, a great atmosphere, great food lots of T.V's showing all sports. Dave was a real character and helped us out by letting us watch the biggest and most important football match of the season, Boreham Wood v Maidstone in the play off final yesterday. Thank you Dave. You saved our holiday. What a day we had. So good in fact that I was back in bed by 4 pm slightly worse for wear but happy as Larry. This place is like a home from home for all British visitors that come to Santa Maria. Please try and...

We came here for convenience after a long day and as it was 5 mins walking distance from the Salinas sea hotel thought why not?!? The food tasted ok (I had the veggs pizza) and the local beer cold and cheap. Unfortunately after finishing the pizza I became very unwell (the pizza returned shall we say ) this was the only time I was unwell while away and it was the gift that di dnt go away for days. I cannot be sure it was the food although my partner wasn't too well either. By Valeria is just down the road and did fab food. Staff were prompt, food was prompt, toilets were close (!) And the WiFi free....

We had numerous english breakfasts here and a Sunday Roast on the final day of our holiday. The breakfasts were lovely and cooked beautifully. The Sunday Roast was ALL freshly cooked and homemade. Absolutely lovely. We also had a homemade apple crumble with custard. Absolutely gorgeous. We sat outside. The pub is clean and very friendly team serving. Will definitely return on our next holiday to Sal.

Brilliant place to go outside of the all inclusive. Staff are really friendly and hospitable. Found some Guinness which is always a bonus as barely anywhere on the island stocks it. Can’t comment on the food as haven’t tried it but looks really good with competitive prices. Couldn’t recommend any higher 😃🇨🇻

Lots of shirtless old English guys, but what do you expect at a place called “The Britannia”, I’m just glad I didn’t hear anyone shout BREXIT! The staff were amazing, and the pint was crisp and served in a chilled glass, and that’s all you can ask for at these places.
