One of the most disappointing dining experiences ever. It was bad enough to ensure that I will forever avoid any W hotel in the future. If they are unable to provide a fine dining experience, then they shouldn't promote themselves as one. We went for New Year's Eve dinner. To begin with, the restaurant, belonging to a 5 star hotel, was startled with the cold weather that day and did not prepare their terrace with heaters or anything to make the diners comfortable. It was sad as you saw guests going to their rooms to fetch coats and capes to cover themselves. I asked for a blanket and it took good thirty minutes to get one. Apart from the host, none of the servers spoke English! again, at a 5 star hotel! so taking our order was a struggle. They messed up the order of our first and second course and hence the wine pairing. What was the point of it then? And during our main course, we sat with empty glasses almost through the entire course until we finally got the attention of our server to bring us the Carménère that it was paired with. Don't do a wine pairing if you are not going to do it properly. The whole restaurant had one men's room functioning. and needless to say it was a good 15 minute wait each time you want to use the bathroom. The planks of the wood floor had gaps and got my heels stuck every time. I tripped over and almost fell twice. It was like walking on an obstacle course. Lastly, the food was average at best. certainly not worth the price tag. Nothing was worth the price...
Read moreDisappointing dining experience. First, we asked to sit outside because it was a nice summer day and we were told outside seating was not available. We were the only people both outside and inside the restaurant (see photos). The appetizers we had were all overpriced but good (ceviche, salad, shrimp). The main course was really bad. Probably the worst steak I’ve had - extremely bland and overcooked. I asked for ‘jugoso’ and got well done. I felt like I was chewing on a rubber tire. The server did ask if the temperature of our steak was good but we felt like it would be a waste of food since they cooked all 3 of our steaks wrong. Your money is better off...
