……….When you arrive outside of this restaurant you wouldn’t think it to be such as there is no signage on this big posh house but when you enter you are mesmerized by the sheer lay out. Standing in the lobby to the left is a nice big area set out with table and chairs here on the far wall was a colourful painting of a table with food on and underneath was a pink lounge suite and on the other wall was porcelain plates covering the whole wall and on the other side was also a room set up with table and chairs and on the wall here was three large board pictures of a spoon, knife and fork.hanging almost from ceiling to floor.Walking further in you find the impressive bar area on the left side big and well stocked up. We were seated right opposite the bar and yet again here the decor and seating was different the wall was face-bricked and the lampshades above our table was old school white enamel just like street lighting. The menu cards was a simple one pager offering about ten starters ranging from Iberian Ham, Fried Octopus, Malaysian Pork, Fried Gizzards and Octopus Empanadas most-lii to be shared by two people. Our host decided to order a few different starter plates. The menu offered about nine main courses such as Lamb-shanks, Roasted beef-strips, Mushroom-Risotto, Fish of the day, Italian duck and for the vegetarians Hot roasted veg and a Crisp-ii Poached egg salad. Seen that we were a party of about 15 our mains varied from person to person. Likewise did our dessert order as their menu offered Pears in white-wine, Chocolate Mousse, Lemon Meringue, A tray of different flavoured ice cream, etc.Even the wines on offer was of a good range as we enjoyed a good from Villard and also good red from Penalolen. As is always said good wine with good food in good company makes for an incredible outing or evening. The service here was of a high standard, friend-lii service, well prepared and presented cuisine and the restaurant had a good ambiance. We are told that they offer outside seating too but we did not bother to look around as it was winter but I sure it will be nice to enjoy a meal in the fresh Chilean air. The pricing here ranges from mid-range to expensive. This restaurant is high-lii recommended to be visited when in Santiago de Chile. PS! Their restrooms are clean and neat always an important feature of a...
Read moreWe went for dinner on a quiet night in Avenida Italia, but this place seemed more vibrant and fun than all the other options. The decoration and place in general is very cozy and stylish. Service was good and friendly. The entrée 'Tiradito de Locos' was absolutely delicious and well executed, but unfortunately the meat on the mains was a bit disappointing. Lomo vetado was cooked on point but it was way too tough. When we commented to the waiter, the plate was taken inside and was cooked for longer, which obviously didn´t improve it. It feels like the quality of the meat was either Paraguayan or Brazillian, instead of a nice Chilean or Argentinean beef. It kinda ruined the whole experience, and no compensation was offered. The other meat was ok, but served with a boring and watery sweet potato puree. Pisco sour was very nice, and the wine selection had a good...
Read moreQuite contradicting experience at this nice restaurant, the place is really well design with a nice bar area where you can sip your cocktail before aheading yo the table, what we did, our pisco sour and apero spritz were impeccable, keeping up our food expectations. We ordered shrimps and slow-cooked pork as appetizer, and they were nice, in particular the shrimp sauce, really rich and tasty. As main we had stake and pumpkin mash, unfortunately both disappointing, especially the mash, it was just smashed pumpkin with no seasoning or butter. The steak was overcooked, bit cold and though, not the best meat choice. Anyway i would've give another chance to this place, food wise, maybe it was a bad day for the kitchen that day, cause the bar and atmosphere were really nice, so I think would've be worth...
