The best Spanish food I've had in Chile! The tortilla española was cooked to perfection (gooey inside, just the way it's supposed to be!). The "Tabla Vasca" charcuteríe board was phenomenal and HUGE. The paella mar y tierra had good flavor but was a bit runny. The sangria was delicious. We finished off sharing the Merengue Vasco and a Leche Asada...the merengue is not to be missed. Wonderful small room upstairs is perfect for a large group (we were nine). I would definitely come back here again to try more dishes.

La Puerta Roja is a small niche Spanish restaurant at Puerto Varas. We were looking for “Tapas”, but they did not have, however they had a variety of dishes that we shared, as we did, we were a party of 7. The services was very fast, and the food excellent, we ordered about 9 dishes and many drinks, all amazing, as well as the bill, which was in the low side.

La Puerta Roja fue la mejor sorpresa que nos llevamos en Puerto Varas. Pasamos de casualidad y nos encantó. Pedimos Las croquetas de jamón, una tortilla, una paella de mariscos, una sangría y tostadas vasca de postre. Todo, absolutamente todo, estaba exquisito. Nos gusta muchísimo la comida española así que sabíamos bien qué estábamos pidiendo y cómo debía venir. Simplemente de maravilla. Además los precios fueron siempre súper razonables. Gastamos 65 lucas entre dos personas y nos dimos una panzada. El lugar es discreto, muy bonito y el chico que nos atendió, Carlos, se aseguró que en todo momento nuestra experiencia sea excelente.
