Chief's Blend — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

Service was extremely terrible, never experienced anything like this ever, she should definitely not be working in service with such a bad attitude. For starters, as i was giving my order, the lady was just glued to her phone, did not even look at me once. She just seemed so unhappy that i was ordering and she had to take a break from her phone. She directed me to pay for it then put her phone down and proceeded to make the order.

SHE DID NOT WASH HER HANDS, took the sourdough slices with her bare hands, raw lettuce, and dug her fingers into the shredded cheese bowl and sprinkled the cheese in my sandwich (didn’t even use a spoon). after sandwich was assembled and placed in the hot press, she immediately went back to touching her phone. after awhile, she took out my sandwich from the press (with bare hands again and not washing after touching her phone). Imagine going back and forth making a customer’s sandwich with your bare hands and touching your phone. She then wrapped it and passed it to me in a very unhappy manner.

The sandwich was as shown in the picture, sad looking and unappetising. It was literally soggy when i touched it, flat, barely any ingredients in it, definitely not worth $88 hkd. All while remembering that she made the whole sandwich with her dirty phone hands 🤮

I used to be a big fan of this cafe for my morning Acai and Coffee fix while in Hong Kong, but it has gone drastically downhill in my last couple of visits.

On our most recent visit the staff were completely inattentive and hopeless. Incapable of taking an order and we were forced to repeat our order 5-6 times (in both Cantonese and English) until they seemed to comprehend it.

We then received completely wrong items and ate our meals 1 at a time, all the while receiving attitude from the staff..

The Acai has never been top notch (and there have never been many options in Hong Kong for Acai), but even it has gone downhill.

Not sure what has happened to this place but the old staff seem to have left, nobody is responding to their Instagram and the place is now a...

Thank you Chief's Blend! I grabbed two meals and a bag of koeksisters to go and enjoyed the best lunch I've had in a while! You can really taste the love that has gone into these deceptively humble South African classics. I was totally satisfied with the cacophony of flavors, portion size, and packaging. Service is down to earth and friendly, prices are reasonable for the incredible quality of ingredients and my order was ready within minutes. Payment options are pleasingly flexible and include cash, Amex, Visa, EPS but not octopus card. Food Panda is also available if you prefer to order in. I recommend everything on the menu and you have to try the koeksisters, they're awesome! I also suggest visiting Chief's Blend when hungry as the meals are quality, wholesome...
