Insanity — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

Went there with some 15 friends to watch the kings coronation. We were there to have some drinks watch the coronation and have fun.

Unfortunately the waitress wouldn’t allow that. There was a small table that was there before us and she turned off the sound to generic music because they asked, we then asked them to change back to the coronation because he was about to be crowned which she reluctantly did but then said to us “why didn’t you go watch this at home”

A lot of my friends were upset with her comments so the majority left after that. Very rude and would not have expected such an experience in a restaurant. Who would think that we are paying customers in a restaurant and the staff asks us to go home.

Not expecting such a reaction from a place like this.

Food was ok, but soured by the poor customer...

Great service, good enough for drinks but food was horrible. The chicken quesadilla ($135) was super bland, tasteless and the wrap was rubbery. It was cold as well. The mixed snacks platter ($195) came with super dry and tough pork belly, dry "Wagyu" beef balls (which tasted ok), so-so cheese balls. The chicken wings was the only good thing on the platter. Overall the snack platter was pretty dry. For this mediocre quality, the food is overpriced.

The good part about this place is the super nice and enthusiastic boss lady and their reasonably priced shisha. Interior has nice drinking vibes.

There is also nothing else open at 8ish, so this was the only choice for dinner. If they can improve on the food, then everything...

A bar in wong chuk hang is something to celebrate! Great job and fantastic to see it here. Friendly staff and good feel to the place. 4 stars because there are two Hong Kong breweries a few minutes walk away and none of their beers. Please get some young master on tap! Came again. Must be hard in this location. Staff still great, thought stuck to the menu on drinks. I asked for a dry martini and it was terrible 🤣🤣. In compensation they gave me a tequila and didn’t charge for either...
