Myung Ga Korean Restaurant (Causeway Bay) — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

We are regular customers since the beginning of Myung Ga. We were a family of 5 came for dinner. Food quality has gone down tremendously, quantity is extremely small and service was appalling especially from a manager/supervisor who was serving our table. He was pushy to ask us to order more even though we have already made our order on the ala carte menu. He said we should order this or order that! We ordered ginseng soup and asked if they could helped serve into 4 bowls he came with a tray with 4 bowls and asked us to help ourselves with the bowls. What if we accidentally drop the bowls and burn ourselves because it was hot! We observed he did the same to next table who requested for more Korean hot tea and gave customer a thermos flask jug and asked them to help themselves with pouring of the tea. Our dinner was $3,300 and to have that kind of Tai Pai Tong service...

Absolutely the worst dining experience I've ever had!

We were the first ones to rock up for lunch, and can you believe we waited over an hour just to get all the food? When it finally showed up, it was all wrong – and we weren't the only ones! Every table seemed to be having their own nightmare.

Trying to get the attention of the waitstaff was like being invisible. We'd say "excuse me" a million times, and they'd just breeze right by us. And don't even get me started on the chaos of trying to pay the bill. It felt like the manager was about to fling it at us rather than hand it over.

I'm definitely not coming back. Seriously, to the owner, you've gotta shake things up – starting with the manager. And maybe throw in some serious team training while...

Well-located restaurant with nice interior design and authentic flavour. To one side, it offers a great view of the sea with Kowloon in a distance. The food tastes very authentic, however the stone pot of the stone pot bibimbap (덜솥비빔밥) was not hot enough for our taste, it wasn't sizzling. The service was friendly and mostly professional, however it took us a while to summon a waiter. Also, the free tea wasn't refilled promptly. The restaurant may have to work a little on the attentiveness of their staff. The price level of the restaurant is a little higher than average, so I think great service can be expected. - All in all, a commendable Kirwan restaurant in a great location, but one shouldn't expect all ts to be crossed all is...
