Beside the food being very good. The customer service was absolutely appalling.

After waiting for a table in the heat for a good 20 mins. A male staff finally sat us down at the table. Within 2 seconds of looking at the menu, a female staff with red hair came out and demanded that we cannot sit there because there’s other people outside. The male staff already voiced that we were queuing first but the girl insisted we move to the bar table by the door. (No apologises from staff whilst we moved.) The bar space was cramped, the door would always open and hot air would just keep blowing on us making us feel very uncomfortable. We saw another table space about to clear up so we asked the female staff if we could move over once the table was cleaned. She agree to move us over once cleaned. After a while we saw the table was clean so we got ready for the female staff to give us the thumbs up to move over. Instead she walked to open the door about to ask other customers to come in. We quickly reminded her that we wanted to move from bar to table and she snapped back saying “there’s other people now!”…… well there was other people waiting outside when we asked so why did you agree to our request? If you can’t fulfil a customers request then why would you agree to it? And even if circumstances change, with some common sense shouldn’t you be giving the customers a heads up?

This made our whole meal very unpleasant and uncomfortable with the customer service being super appalling. I hope this female staff gets some training on how to be nice whilst working...

Came to know about this ramen restaurant from two coffee shop baristas, who spoke very highly of the ramen, and the bean stalks that come with it. So I decided to pay it a visit after working out nearby.

There are 7 types of ramen on the menu, and I chose this Roast Pork Ramen. I was amazed by the portion of pork in the bowl. There were five pieces of roast pork, with three pieces being fatter than the other two. All of them were nicely roasted and very, very delicious, flavored and meaty. I opted for soft noodles, so the ramen came in just right for my taste. The broth was very tasty too! I couldn’t help drinking it while sipping the yummy noodles, and I wasn’t thirsty at all even though I had drunk quite a lot of the broth.

And the bean stalks? They were really good! Now I totally understand why it was highly recommended to me. Even though I don’t like bean stalks (I always opt out for them while having noodles), this little bowl of spicy bean stalks on the side definitely got my heart! It’s quite spicy indeed, warn you, but very delicious. It also went well with the ramen and broth. So I guess you could enjoy it on its own, or have it with your noodles.

Definitely coming back to try out other ramen, and have the awesome bean...

No doubt, this is my all time favourite Tonkotsu ramen in Hong Kong.

It’s a very decent shop with high table with good view and low table for 4. Unlike the traditional ramen shop, they do serve many sake too, so it’s a kind of Izakaya too.

Speaking of their main offer: Tonkotsu ramen, the reason why I would say she is one of my favourite is their soup base. Over the years their pork soup broth has been gradually improved - you could taste the strong pork bone boiled favor, cloudy appearance and thick broth. But you won’t fee very oily for the soup, instead it’s perfectly match with the fire burnt pork belly meat and the noodles. Oh yes, you could choose the level of the firmness for the noodles as well.

I thought I have written an review for this ramen shop earlier, sadly I found out I haven’t until now. And it’s a good time to share with you all about this and welcome you all to support it under this strict and insane...

Great ramen and delicious dumplings too! I came here quite early on a Saturday, relatively soon after opening, and got a seat without issues. The restaurant is quite small but feels homely and the staff is very friendly and speaks English well. I chose their signature No. 1 ramen and wasn’t disappointed. It has a rich, umami flavor and the toppings are generous and add well to the overall profile. The broth is creamy and slightly on the salty side but not overbearing. You can choose the noodle firmness according to your liking from soft to very hard and I went for hard. The noodles were spot on and very good. I also had their gyozas, which I can recommend. They are quite light and make for a good complement with the ramen. Probably not the best ramen I’ve ever had (would give 4.5 stars if it was possible) but certainly one of the better ones!
