With such budget price, you get to stay in the heart of HK island as well as wonderful service, please ask no more. Everything in this place is compact and tiny, the bathroom is surprisingly better than general HK standard, bigger than some of my friend's bathroom in HK's mansion, 5 thumbs up for that. The staff "Yin Jei" was a super sweet lady, she's providing whatever she could to make you feel more comfortable staying. We are staying in one queen bed room and the size of bed is an American standard queen size with no blocking at the end of the bed. My tall guy could sleep comfortably. Sheung Wan A2 exit MTR is only few mins walk right at the corner. Free shuttle bus from HK station to Holiday Inn stop where located only 5 mins walk away from Homey. Full cleaning service everyday (floor vacuum, 2 medium size of bottle waters, 4 clean towels, refilled body & hair shampoo, toilet paper rolls, tissue box, cups for tea/coffee and two glasses in bathroom toothbrush & toothpaste set provided daily, pairs of slipper provided daily, clean bed sheets & an easy handle blanket) Receptionists are helpful and friendly. They replied my email efficiently before I came to HK. They provide further details than you need when I have concern. With such humidity, not a single flying bug I found in the washroom or building. Amazing. The safe box, clothes racks & hair dryer are provided. Laundry place is located couple streets behind the hotel, 5 mins walk, called "LundrYup", self served, 24 hours. Use Octopus to pay, super easy. 利工民 Made in HK Wool felt underwear [an old HK brand with quality products] is only few shops next to the hotel entrance, Don't not miss it! Surely not all things are super satisfied, the mirror is small, you must go to lobby for a full look; only one elevator for the entire building, the frig & microwave are not provided, but kettle is; the noise from the street in the morning, but it seems everywhere in HK, ear bugs could help; Hot water is only last 5-6mins, but we were there in super hot summer, couldn't say it bothering us at all. Disregard the high-end 5 stars request, this is a 5 stars budget...
Read moreI was a one night, solo guest at the Homy hotel recently during a layover in Hong Kong. It is a cheap, basic option for a short stay but I wouldn't recommend it for more than one person or a longer stay. I booked a double room, and after a quick check in, was given 1104. The room was very small (as expected) and had no windows. The bathroom was acceptable but worn and could use some attention. Some of the lights were burned out or flickering. When showering, water would come out cold or really hot. Shower head needed cleaning to remove deposits which were blocking the holes. The TV only had 3 or 4 functioning channels, and only one of those in English. Two water bottles provided, with a small kettle for tea and coffee, as well as disposable flip flops and toothbrush kit. The bed was clean and decently comfortable. Check out in the morning was very easy. Just dropped off the key and left. The location is pretty good. Just a 15 minute walk to the Airport Express train. I would consider the hotel again for a similar short stay, but would definitely ask for a room with a...
Read moreOn the positive side, the location was very handy and close to transport as well as some great areas to explore on foot. The room was clean and tidy and shower had good pressure. Affordable and convenient accommodation.||||On the negative side, the room was very small with hardly any space to put luggage for 4 people apart from on the floor which made it difficult to move around the room. Minimal bench and hanging space with cupboard door missing.||The 2 double beds were pushed up hard against each other so there was no way of getting into them without climbing over others. Needed a shelf overhead to place glasses, phones, TV remote etc when sleeping as the bedside table was difficult to reach from the beds if you were stuck in the middle.||The bathroom was tiny and no space to put toiletries, no hooks to hang clothes while showering.||The deodorising smell in the reception area was strong and a bit off-putting.||The room was very basic and adequate for coming back to after a day of exploring but not a space we wanted to spend...
