North Viet Pho — Restaurant in Hong Kong Island

This is my second time after a few years ago, the first visit did not leave any impression.

As a friend visiting from Australia suggested to go there for dinner we thought it would be interesting to see if they have any changes i.e. improvements!

Pleasant surprise, this time around the food was way more flavourful and also they have great dinner combo which is very reasonable. ( Around HK$80 to $100 with drinks at an additional charge )

Pho with Beef & Beef Ball were pretty good as their broth is more flavourful and not as greasy as my first time, other dishes that came with the Dinner combo was also done well.

Parking may be an issue, but we did find a paid...

A bit crowded, but considering that students get 15% off for lunch, I won't complain much here ;)

In fact, I don't have much to complain at all (but that's probably because I've been lucky). Their charcoal-roasted meats are always juicy with a crunchy charred note, their soupless vermicelli (撈檬) is full of herbs and their pho broth is not too piquant. Their cold drinks are pretty standard.

Might be a bit too garlicky for some, though, and you may want a drink to accompany...

Great authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Ample seating was available although seemingly a tight fit. So I ordered Take Away from the menu, and the staff was both friendly and eager to accommodate. A wide variety of dishes (including set combo items) were all reasonably priced and the generous portions left us satisfied. Take away is packed well and the Pork with Vermicelli taste great from home. Needless to say this is my goto place for good...
