This is my first review, and I am sorry to leave this negative comment but this place is a COMPLETE rip-off. A party of three arrived at the restaurant around 6 in the evening for dinner. Not even a single customer was in the restaurant. (should’ve realized at this point but oh well.) We ordered 3 pieces of scallops, 2 small bowls of hot and sour soup, fried rice, 6 finger-sized pieces of fried shrimp, sweet and sour pork, and tsing-dao beer. And we paid 941 HKD, which includes 10 HKD for a very small bowl of appetizer nuts, 33 HKD for tea—but this tea charge is understandable, and 10% service charge. The food was just ordinary HK style, but the serving size was WAY TOO SMALL. We weren’t even full after having all the foods listed above. But the worst part to top it all off is the SERVERS at the restaurant. There were 3 or 4 women and 2 men in the hall right next to our table. And they were constantly looking at us and whispering something with one another. Fortunately I don’t understand Chinese language; unfortunately I am sensitive being in the middle of attentions. I’ve been coming to HK twice a year for the past decade, and I could proudly say that this was the worst of ALL restaurants I’ve been to. Local food with Michelin-star like price. We have ordered ofcoz the 食神炒饭plus咕噜肉,食神叉烧,and龙虾伊面。maybe becoz we r foreigners, the char siew style is a bit different and not so acceptable for our tastebutts, don’t get me wrong, the meat is tender and fresh but the style is not to our liking. Gu lo meat taste good, sweet and sour sauce is perfect, ingredients are fresh and crunchy. I would expect the fried rice be the best dish but maybe was having too high expectations and actually the lobster noodle is our favourite dish. Lobster as usual is fresh and the sauce, noodle just matched perfectly. Overall the portion is huge for us, for 2 adults and 2 children we can’t finish everything, as tourist we have limited tummy space for a wide range of want-to-try food, we hope in the future if we were to visit again, there will be a portion option for us to choose (south east Asia style), so we can try more or not to waste unfinished food.
