<Shanghai Noodles with Deep-Fried Pork Chop and Dumplings> Kam Cheung Pork Noodles is a traditional local restaurant in Sai Ying Pun that serves really worthy Shanghai noodles. For HKD$45, I got this bowl of Shanghai noodles with dumplings and freshly deep-fried pork chop. A superb deal really! The three pieces of dumplings were big and meaty! Very high quality indeed! As for the pork chop, it was fantastic! Nothing beats a freshly deep-fried pork chop with tender meat! Noodles itself were very delicious too! Highly recommend you to give Kam Cheung Pork Noodles a try if you are in the hood!

Kam Cheung has been here for many years and yet still has queues all the time for their famous fried pork chop!💛 The decent sized pork chop was deep fried to a beautiful golden, batter was thin and made it crispy on each bite! The meat inside was tender, juicy and adequately reasoned, no wonder it makes a signature dish🤤 seaweed roll on the side was made with seaweed wrapped around bean curd sheets. They were flaky after deep frying, but tasted a bit bland to my liking. Noodles and soup were nothing special.

This restaurant delivers filling yet uninspiring fare. Overwhelmed by popularity, the kitchen prioritizes speed over quality. The fried pork steak pales in comparison to renowned Japanese versions, suffering from dryness. Noodles are undercooked, and the soup lacks depth, tasting merely of water and flour. The dumplings are mundane, reminiscent of wet market offerings. At HK$51, it's affordable for a one-time solo visit, but not noteworthy enough to recommend to friends.

Always on the hunt of down to earth Shanghainese restaurant and this place didn’t disappoint. Recommend wonton noodle with fried pork rib. The noodle is firm the way I like it. Wonton filling is very fresh judging by the color of the pork and veggie. Adding some hot sauce will be a good way to spice it up. Also tried fried tofu - not bad - remember to dip in the hot sauce too.

I ate here several times during my stay in Hong Kong. I can see why people wait and queue to be seating. Very friendly and helpful owner, good menu selection, and tasty food. My noodle soup could have fed a small family of four. 😂 I was very tasty, so I tried to finish it, but easily left half a bowl of noodles. The owner speaks English, but the menu is easy to follow.

I'm giving five stars because what you get for the very reasonable price is truly competitive. The dumplings are super tasty and their signature dish is a must to try. It's a great spot to have some good dinner after work without the need to overspend. There are quite a few healthy options too!
