A lively Japanese Izakaya, this place is perfect for unwinding with friends after work. The menu has an impressive variety, making it great for larger groups, with highlights like fresh seafood including oysters, grilled fish, sashimi, and yakitori. My personal favorite is the Steamed Hiroshima Oysters with Melted Raclette Cheese—absolutely divine.
While the rest of the food was decent, there’s definitely room for improvement. As an Izakaya, they have a solid selection of alcoholic drinks, from classic Japanese cocktails to an impressive array of Sake. You can even pick your Sake from three large fridges filled with different options.
It might not be a nightly thing, but they offer a free cup of Sake to each guest and an extra-large mixed drink for those celebrating birthdays. They gather everyone in the restaurant, both staff and diners, to sing a birthday song and toast together, adding a fun and festive touch to the celebration.
In short, it's a fantastic spot to meet up with friends and enjoy a few drinks, with good food and a lively atmosphere. While it may not be the place for exquisite, skillfully crafted dishes, it's perfect for a fun and...
Read moreOverall a decent restaurant. Big fan of the boss (I assume), rly friendly guy. A great place for a birthday, they give you a birthday hat, free drink & sake for the table to cheers with the whole resto.
My only issue: we ordered the chicken thigh skewers & it came out raw. Mistakes happen & that’s understandable, but how the waiters / waitresses dealt with it. No apology. No explanation. No acknowledgment. Wasn’t sure if it was because we were in a room but the service was rly lacking. Super thirsty & they only poured us one round of tea & we had to ask for that. It’s a shame because the food was quite nice & the vibes were good with games...
Read moreGrilling skill is very (seriously) lacking. The grilling test I go by has always been grilled chicken liver. In this case, it is overcooked, dry and hard. Sorry to say, that means the rest of the grill skewers follow the same pattern of overcooked and dry. I did not order any oysters, maybe that would have been a much better experience as they are more renowned for their oysters. But grill items are basic stuff and in my own opinion (maybe not others), the items I ordered are way below the passing mark. The only saving grace is their female Japanese server who is very polite and trying her best to...
