A small restaurant in HK, The Oyster House. Choose by my wife for her birthday lunch (no dine service due to COVID-19). Overall above average and this restaurant can eat next time.

Started with the bread and vinegar with olive oil. The bread is still hot pair with their vinegar and olive oil is okay.

The Oysters are excellent. They are very fresh. We ate the France Oyster first. The waitress asked if we want more when collecting the dish. They we ordered South Africa Oyster. Both types oysters are good!

The 2 appetizers, The Sea Urchin pair with red shrimp and the crab cake are okay. The sea urchin pair with the red shrimp taste is fine but the shrimp is not fresh enough. The crab cake is a bit hard on outside and the crab taste is not enough. But good for pairing with wine.

My wife ordered the Oyster Bisque. I do not like the taste.... But my wife loves it.

The 2 main dishes, the ribeye and pork chop, both cooked very nice. I ordered medium rare on the steak and it cooks beautifully. The pork is a little bit dry but with a little bit fats around the chop, it is okay. Both dishes paired with some smashed potatoes and vegetables with mushrooms. It is good.

For desert, we ordered Banoffee pie. It taste really good and hope I can replicate it at home.

Overall, worth to try restaurant. Definitely will go...

We ordered a few dishes and the best is seafood platter with HK$99 only !

The fresh, air-freighted oysters are not large but packed with rich seawater flavor. The French golden snails are large and pleasantly chewy. Hokkaido scallops are sweet and enhanced by salmon roe, though thicker scallops would improve the texture. New Zealand green mussels are big and deliciously sweet. The abalone is large and flavorful, with a great bite. This platter is only available on Monday and Tuesday nights for a special price; otherwise, it's HK$199.

We also ordered some starters. The Crab Meat Avocado Tart with Black Caviar features a generous amount of crab meat layered over diced avocado in a creamy sauce. The combination of sweet crab and smooth avocado, complemented by the salty caviar, creates a rich flavor profile.

Another starter is Peruvian Grapefruit Vinegar Octopus. The octopus slices are a bit thick but chewy, paired with a sweet and tangy sauce and pickled onions, making for a refreshing starter.

The main is Charcoal-Grilled 360-Day Grain-Fed U.S. Ribeye (Medium). The steak is beautifully seared, thick, and juicy, though the beef flavor isn’t very strong and a bit oily. Served with baked garlic, beans, and mashed potatoes, the dish is satisfying and...

First time visit to what seems to be a legend of the seafood scene in Hong Kong. The unassuming shop front actually belies what is deservedly well known as some of the freshest oysters available. We had unbelievably huge and creamy Hokkaido, fantastic Spanish extra large, as well as Rollex (just ok) and another French oyster as well as Oysters Kilpatrick (delicious). Our kids slurped up the oysters which was a surprise. The abalone as part of the seafood platter was caramel as well which is the first time I have enjoyed abalone with any flavour ...

A highlight was also the ribeye which was perfectly cooked with good char but still medium rare. Truffled potatoes and roasted garlic paired extremely well.

We had a small dispute over the oyster discount on ordered drinks, but this was very well resolved by the manager in a fair and very courteous manner. We went for my wife's birthday and she left very happy with the seafood, as well as the way the manager handled the situation.

Will definitely love to go...

1 bad move ruined the whole experience. My sister picked this resturant tonight to celebrate my birthday. Oysters are fresh, the food is great, staff was amazing, and happy to give recommendations and attentive. The dining experience was superb, we ask for the check, out of a sudden one of the staff (she didnt show up until late during our dining period) poked me twice with her hand/ a tab while she was on the phone trying to ask me if the phone she was holding belongs to me. (I wasn't the one to get the check, didn't even talk to her before, not to mention what phone she was holding) I mean she can totally just ask me politely but not poking me in the first place. I found it very rude and she actually did it 2 times. It was totally inappropriate. I will never come again for such behavior. Too bad 1 bad staff can totally ruin a good reputation.
