This cozy and cute restaurant serves us some deliciously amazing food at fairly affordable prices, especially for lunch! The clear glass doors and windows let plenty of light in to the space. The menu is simple and small, which is perfect for us who are indecisive but plenty of great and varying options. We came with a family of five and tried almost everything; almost everything was super delicious with only a few small misses. The homemade bread is perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The salmon salad was perfectly balanced with a slightly tart vinegarette and a slightly sweet tangerine. The pumpkin soup was delicate but full of flavor. The steak was cooked to perfection, the fish with clams was nice and flavorful and the mushroom risotto smelled amazingly and tasted the same. The slight misses were the oxtail (so tender but having stewed so long, I would have imagined a bit more flavor infused into it) and the pasta was definitely a little undercooked (20-30 seconds away from al dente).
All in all, so happy with all the food and can’t wait to come back and...

Read moreVery quiet when I was there with a modern, low-key pop soundtrack. Caesar salad was excellent. Crisp and flavorful, but not too much dressing.
Pasta was hot and very well plated with a tasty sauce and generous portion of smoked salmon. Coffee was hot and decent quality. The Pavlova was excellent - very substantial!
Table water with lemon. Nice touch.
Staff member - friendly, but not too much so. Could talk up the local scene.
Great value ($200) for a quiet, very decent (substantial, super full) lunch in a neighbourhood that lacks similar options. The location prob isn't great for what they are in a very industrial area, which is too bad. It was an excellent lunch!!
One more note: free corkage!...
