A hole-in-the-wall restaurant tucked away in Kowloon City offers one of the most authenticated Thai street food. I mean they even named their restaurant as 泰國路邊街美食 (Thailand Roadside Eatery) and they are not wrong about it. And you can tell when there were a few Thai locals customers during my visit. I tried their combination of deep fried platter and my beloved pad see ew (a Thai stir-fried wide rice noodles dish with pork). The pad see ew was AMAZING! They cooked the dish in the right amount of heat (in Cantonese we called it 鑊氣 / Wok Hai) and as a results, there was this wonderful charred smoky flavor. And not to mention the pork was very tender as well. As this is one of those budget-friendly neighbourhood place, so don’t expect finest ingredients or five star setting. As a matter of fact, I do find their cooking oil was a bit overly reused. I wouldn't recommend their deep fried food. Anyhow, if you are craving for authenticated Thai street food with affordable price, this is the place!

A niche restaurant offering authentic Thai street food. It has a fast food setting like local HK restaurant. Grabbed a fried vermicelli with yellow curry and shrimp. Got 4 shrimps with a large plate of vermicelli. Taste was ok. Cannot ask for more at this price.

The best of this place like most is pig offal 豬內臟Thai noodle which cannot find anywhere else could do better. I have been going back to satisfy myself over the years.

The noodles here are as good as Cheong Fat, I ordered the boat noodles which is basically vermicelli in pork blood soup. I was impressed it came with two pieces of crunchy fish stomach I ate them quickly before they become soft from soaking the broth. The soup was not as rich as Cheong Fat, and they use long shaped bowls instead of round ones. As well as that, I ordered rice with pork knuckle, the picked vegetables that came with it were nice, and not sweet. The thick soup with fish bladder was deluxe yet made cheap because it contained chicken feet and bamboo shoots and blood cubes. It was nice but the taste was over powered by bamboo shoots...

The first time we discovered this place, we loved it as it represented real Thai food that we craved. Although we live in HK island, we wanted to make this our regular visits of once a week thing. The second time we went back, the service was terrible and that made our experience with food also not great. We decided not to ever go back to eat there again because one of the old lady staff there gave us a really bad taste of service. We weren’t going to rate it originally but...
