Ban Thai — Restaurant in Hong Kong

This establishment redefines poor service to new lows. From the moment I arrived, the staff's complete indifference was apparent. The hostess was nowhere to be found, leaving customers stranded at the entrance without acknowledgment.

Once we finally managed to get seated - after waiting with zero communication - the neglect continued. No server approached our table, no water was served, and no menus were provided. It was as if we were invisible.

The utter lack of service makes it impossible to even comment on their food quality, as we never got the chance to order. The staff's behavior suggests a complete disregard for their customers' time and patronage.

If Ban Thai's management has lost interest in running a restaurant, they should seriously consider closing their doors. This level of service is unacceptable in the hospitality industry. Save yourself the frustration and dine elsewhere.

Would I return? Absolutely not. There are plenty of other Thai restaurants that actually want to serve...

The Hainanese chicken rice isn't completely deboned, but it's very flavorful with a good balance of fat and lean meat. The accompanying Thai spicy sauce is delicious and pairs perfectly with the chicken. The oil rice is also very fragrant.

The lemon tea is brewed with Thai red tea, giving it a lovely aroma. At just $60 for the meal, including the drink, it's quite a good deal for lunch...
