If you’re on the hunt for a top-notch burger experience in Central Hong Kong, look no further than Flat Iron Burger on Elgin Road.

The service here is exceptional. The staff is not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. They are more than happy to provide recommendations. I appreciated their insights, which helped me choose the perfect burger for my taste which of course was the double flat iron deluxe.

The burgers themselves—simply amazing! The quality of the meat is evident with every bite, and I must say, they are cooked to perfection. Whether you prefer it medium-rare or well-done, the chefs at Flat Iron Burger have mastered the art of cooking burgers. The flavors are rich and satisfying, making it clear that they use only the finest ingredients.

The ambiance of the restaurant is lively and modern, making it a great spot for both casual dining and a quick bite with friends. The seating is primarily high tables and counter-style, which adds to the casual vibe but might not suit everyone’s preferences. If you enjoy a more relaxed dining experience, just be aware that this setup might not be your ideal choice. However, for those who appreciate a more social atmosphere, it’s perfect!

Overall, Flat Iron Burger is a fantastic burger lovers destination in Hong Kong. With great service, top-quality burgers, and a lively ambiance, it’s a place I’ll definitely be returning to. Highly...

I visited Flat Iron in London a few times during my trip to Europe in 2018. All I remember was the great service, great taste, and great value. Recently, I was surprised to find out that Flat Iron has come to Hong Kong. I decided to try Flat Iron Burger in Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.

The restaurant was full when I arrived, so I was asked to place my order first. I ordered two lunch sets: one set with steak, fries, salad, and a drink, as well as a lighter burger with fries, salad, and a drink (totaling $260).

Minutes later, we got our seats, but one of them was quite windy due to the air conditioning. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to occupy a large table for just the two of us. However, when the server came, he was very considerate and asked whether I felt cold. He arranged for us to move to another table that had just become available. It’s rare to receive such great service at this price.

Now, about the food: it was also a good value for the price. The salad was fresh, and the steak was decent. A tip for locals: be mindful not to order a steak cooked more than medium. I ordered medium, and it was closer to medium-well.

All the staff had a professional attitude and provided excellent service, and the restaurant offered a lovely harbor view. I would recommend trying this branch in...

The burger itself is excellent. Five stars for the buttery toasted bun which was light and airy, the juicy burger, and the creamy sauce. The fries were okay - I feel like normal salted fries would be better than the powder they mixed the fries with, but could be a personal thing. The salad was average and nothing special.

The milkshake was good, but I’ve also had a better one at NMNL. For the price, 148 lunch set, I think this is a great restaurant.

Only gripe might be the loud music and inconsistent playlist choices - rock, then top 40 pop hits, then hip hop, then oldies…would be nice if they stuck with one playlist theme that’s consistent with the vibe of the restaurant.

The chairs are a bit low and awkward for the tables.

Overall would come again if I wanted a good burger and would bring friends too.

Update: they moved to Harbour City. Quality is the same which is good. Ordered the steak with loaded fries. Steak was not bad but I’d choose the burger over the steak if I had to go again. Loaded fries are quite good too. The service was very nice. Would recommend them to close the door to the kitchen/dish-washing area (although it may be less convenient for them) just because the noise of washing dishes is a...

Visited in November 2024. Hong Kong. Drawn in by glowing Google reviews and enticing photos, we set out to try this burger joint. The restaurant itself is quite small, seating perhaps ten to twelve people, with a bright and airy interior. However, the bar-height tables were somewhat oddly paired with unusually low chairs, creating an ergonomically uncomfortable seating arrangement. Ordering is done via QR code, a system that, while efficient, lacks the personal touch of a server's recommendations. Unfortunately, this ultimately prevented us from sampling their burgers altogether. After much deliberation over the menu, we discovered that the establishment is cashless; payment is strictly via card through their app. As tourists, we hadn’t brought our cards and, consequently, were unable to place an order. The lack of any signage or prior warning from the server regarding this payment restriction was exceptionally poor form. We essentially wasted valuable time only to leave empty-handed. This disregard for a widely-accepted payment method reflects unprofessional service and management. Conclusion: I cannot recommend this restaurant due to its inexplicable and inconvenient cashless-only policy, inadequately communicated to patrons.

Amazing burger and loaded fries. I really enjoyed my dish, as I was having some issues I decided to go all out and order a full plate of loaded fries. So eating at the counter for three, I got to watch the line cooks smash and flatten burgers. Service was very attentive and I really like that they cooks were also happy to take orders rather than to stand like stone blocks like some line cooks would rather do. I got a house lemonade, triple Flat Iron Jr. (comes with a small side salad which is a great touch) and the French French Fries. I've been walking around HK now foe over three hours now and I still feel stuffed. The only thing is that I didn't realize it was cashless only payment. I know it's growing in acceptance, but sometimes us out of towners don't want to use our cards too often on account of the toilet paper value of the currency our cards are in, other than that, it was a great experience. Lighting is great so photos are easy to take and the grease from the burgers gives your photos that extra polish 😅

The staff were very friendly, the restaurant was well lit and with a ocean view. However, the food was just average. The steak we ordered wasn’t tender enough. They called it Flat Iron Steak and they should’ve served it with Flat Iron, instead of a boring white plate. The drinks tasted basic and cheap. Even the iced lemon was not good enough. That’s understandable as the restaurant was opened by foreigners seemingly. But they at least need to master the lemon tea which is the signature drink in Hong Kong. Also I suggest they take reference from Flat Iron restaurants in London, if they want to survive in the competitive and struggling food and beverage scene in HK.
