Lady Gourmand Hamburger — Restaurant in Hong Kong

Wanted to visit for awhile but this shop doesn’t opens on time. The first time i wanted to try it but it wasn’t open so I didn’t want to try visiting again. I pass by few time in the afternoon but it wasn’t open also. Then today in the evening it was open so I went to give it a try. Including us there was 5 tables, 2 already have their food served so we are the third table waiting for our food. There is no staff except the boss, he basic does everything himself so that is why it takes sooo long, we waited 1 hour for our food🫠🫠🫠. I wish the boss would tell us that it takes so long then we would consider eating there or not but when we left he did apologize to us for waiting so long. The food was delicious! I think I prefer the sandwich over the burger. The sandwich was sooo crispy and cheesy🤤🤤🤤. The burger was a bit messy when eating just the same as the burger name 😂😂😂. Easily one of my favourite burger spots in Hong Kong. The burgers, the milkshakes, the fries, the grilled cheese, the lemonade, all crafted excellently with some creative twists (the unique burger sauce made with spicy fish paste(?) is amazing). The decor manages to nail the old-school American diner vibe in the middle of a busy district.

My only criticisms are: My girlfriend asked for no spicy sauce on her burger a couple of times when we visited, but when the food was served, the buns were still coated with the sauce. The floor is often a little sticky, which is a bit off-putting. Opening times are really unpredictable. There have been a few times when I've revisited the area during opening hours, only to be disappointed that I can't give this independent...

Grilled cheese sandwich (46) was spot on and delicious. The burger special (47) was underwhelming though. This shop being in this neighborhood is a pleasant surprise, because it's offering something different. But if they went out of their way to decorate with heart, which it seems like they did with lots of cute cat decorations, it would also perhaps generate more business if they kept better hours (currently 2pm-8:30pm; very inconvenient for lunch), and if their staff could be warmer and more welcoming rather than simply business-like.
