Fresh Basil Pizza — Restaurant in Islands District

Previously visited the restaurant before and we like the pizzas. However yesterday we visited and the staff member took our order whilst blowing his nose under the mask and rubbing his hand all over his runny nose. He then went straight into the kitchen and began picking up the dough and ingredients without washing his hands. We explained this to the manager and the staff member lied and shouted that he had washed his hands. Completely false as we are sat there watching him the whole time.

The staff member washed his hands and re-made the pizzas. The staff then had a bad attitude towards us for complaining about this hygiene issue.

Ordered a “margherita” pizza and received a cheese pizza with no basil, fresh mozzarella, or tomato. To have Fresh Basil in the name and not even have fresh basil on a margherita is a disappointment. The pizza was not authentic at all and looked nothing like the photos from years ago, which had good reviews. The crust felt doughy and had a strange texture. Staff was not very welcoming. Owner is weird and kinda a jerk, especially during times of COVID-19. Crust doesn't have flavor- need more time to develop the yeast/flavor.
