Sea King — Restaurant in Hong Kong

Worst experience with food we had in the past few years. I love Cantonese style seafood, and I am very used to eating and experimenting with different restaurants. This time we paid $/HK 850 and we weren't even able to give more than one bite in each of the dishes.. The seafood was of bad quality and not fresh. We ordered Steamed crab in egg white and Chinese wine, a dish that should have a tasty layer of Steamed egg as a bed for the crab, and came with a layer of pathetically thinner than 1 mm overcooked egg white, without the slightest hint of the cheapest Chinese wine.. the whole dish went back to the kitchen and we paid for the full thing. We also ordered scallops with Vermicelli and Garlic, and these were even worse, as the scallop was clearly not fresh, smelly, and chewy.. also visibly not steamed together with oil, Garlic and vermicelli as it should be.. we ordered 2 for each, and we could barely eat half.. In the end the manager said that we probably don't know what we were ordering.. but tbh.. we eat seafood every week and we know what we eat.. I am a professional chef by the way.. Avoid this place at all costs.. I am still afraid I will suffer from food...

This is the worst restaurant I've been to considering food quality and service attitude. We ordered 4-5 dishes, half of them are mediocre to be the most polite. One of the dishes was steamed fish, and we had to chase for around 3 times, each time getting the same feedback that the fish was coming in next 10 minutes. However until we finished all other dishes and our rice, and also the pot of tea, the fish didn't come. My husband asked for the bill saying we'll then cancel the fish, and that's when the drama began. The waiter who was supposed to refill our tea pot in a more timely manner started to call my husband 衰仔, which is a humiliating term in Cantonese saying that fish would not be canceled even if we call the police and we may not be able to leave the island -- that's very close to threathening. His boss then brought the steamed fish right after we call the bill with a manner that his waiter's behavior was totally acceptable and charged us his full fee. This is seriously the worst experience I've had with any restaurant. I'd say good luck to you if you walk...

Terrible place to eat seafood at for tourists and locals. We were planning to get the set meal, but they pressured us into getting the fresh seafood which is much more expensive. We personally chose pee shrimps, geoducks, and clams, which ended up being $750 (cost of getting those three items only). When the cooked dishes came out, the seafood that we chose were not the ones we picked (SO OBVIOUSLY THEY SWITCHED THEM -- pee shrimps and geoducks are smaller) TTL bill is HK$ 1100 .
