Coffee Barrister Elyce Chau at LaLuz isn't just making coffee; she's crafting a genuine Australian coffee experience. I came specifically to try her signature Australian-style coffee. The cold brew was served with a whisky ice ball, and it absolutely exceeded all expectations.

The science behind the presentation is brilliant: the large, spherical ice ball chills the drink with minimal surface area, cooling it perfectly while drastically reducing dilution. This means your cold brew stays robust and flavorful to the very last sip, never turning watery.

The result is exactly as promised: a smoother, softer, and incredibly light-bodied cup. The flavor profile was complex and delightful—notes of bright fruit and a subtle, almost winery-like balance made it truly unique. The finish was the star: a clean, pleasant, and incredibly smooth aftertaste.

The entire experience vividly reminded me of the exceptional cold brew I enjoyed at a dedicated Japanese coffee shop where she worked for many years ago.

I think it's the best cafe to chill in the whole Jordan area! The cafe is located in a less crowded area and the atmosphere of the cafe is very comfortable.

The staff is very nice and friendly and the cake was delicious! Even though that's a piece of low fat cheese cake, its cheese flavour is very rich. Plus, the price is similar to Starbucks or other chain cafes in town, but the food quality of this cafe is way better. So I'd rather pay to have better cake and coffee...

I visited La Luz quite some time ago for their cold brew coffee, and this time I am back for their Aussie style brunch. This Corned Beef & Scrambled Eggs Bagel Sandwich was absolutely fantastic. Fluffy scrambled eggs and rightly salted corned beef made superb fillings for a bagel sandwich, even though the bagel was an ordinary one.

The Flat White was a bit too milky though, should have ordered cold brew...
