GODIVA CAFE — Restaurant in Islands District

I ordered a dark chocolate shake. Within 5 minutes I received my order but was a warm cup when I held it. I asked a dark chocolate shake and it’s hot? The lady that put the drink on the counter said it was dark chocolate and it’s hot. I repeated myself and said again a dark chocolate shake and it’s hot? Another lady (Indian) I presume said dark chocolate shake and it’s hot. Wow! You staff doesn’t even know what’s a shake. The lady(Indian) that actually prepared the dark chocolate shake said it is hot. Fantastic!!! Then the first lady said it’s actually cappuccino. What’s going on??? The (Indian) lady then put my dark chocolate shake on the counter and left acting as if nothing happened. It’s shows your staff doesn’t even know your items on your menu and if unsure please refrain from making any comments or remark when unsure of the item...

I was a paying customer. I closed my eyes after eating. Only to be disturbed and told "you cannot sleep here". So i just leaned on my bag, the same staff member came over again, "you cannot lie down".

This same woman has now been asleep for an hour on her break.

Food is mediocre. Very overpriced. I will never return.

I really dont know what difference it made to her, how i was sat or if my eyes were closed....

I tried the new Godiva Cafe in the departure area of HKIA recently and found it to be pretty good.

They have a separate open seating area and offer a range of dessert style foods, coffees, teas and chocolate based drinks. They have some classic Godiva chocolates and gifts on offer as well. I tried the dark chocolate shake, it was fairly priced and tasted...
