overall: skewers are nicely priced & quite creative. would recommend trying their noodles as well. chill ambience suitable for hanging out with groups of friends.
tip ❗️: go for their 2-hour free flow ($138) if you plan on drinking as it’s really worth it considering the alcohol content is low for each drink (plus it tastes good)
chicken liver paste toast 雞肝多士 🥖: average.
yaki skewers 🍢: perfectly grilled til there’s a smoky, slightly charred flavour. have to applaud them for their creativity of combining fruits with meat.
katsu skewers 🍡: thin crispy batter that locks all the juices inside.
recommended skewers honeydew sliced chuck rib 蜜瓜牛卷🍈 duck breast with grape 葡提鴨卷 🍇 cream cheese egg plant 芝心茄子 🍆
mazesoba 本格撈麵 🍜: noodles are not chewy nor soft. soy sauce based sauce with the egg adding extra creaminess.
duck breast soba 鴨胸蕎麥麵 🦆: generous amount of duck breast, though on the chewier side. love the fresh tangy citrusy soup, slightly removes the greasiness of katsu skewers.
peach sour 🍑: flavour wise is very nice but not much alcohol in it (maybe...
Read moreI had the opportunity to visit an incredible Japanese restaurant in town, which was highly recommended by a friend a long time ago. Finally, I had the chance to dine there for dinner. Despite arriving around 8:30 pm on a weekend night, we only had to wait for 10 minutes to be seated. The service at the restaurant was exceptional, surpassing the standard in Hong Kong.
The highlight of the experience was the delicious skewers. What impressed me the most was that you didn't have to order a minimum of two for each item. Instead, you could mix and match, allowing you to try a variety of items, even if you were dining with a smaller group. The skewers were truly awesome.
The noodles also left a lasting impression, particularly the shrimp soup base. The flavors were incredible, and I found myself thoroughly enjoying each bite.
I'm already looking forward to returning to the restaurant soon. It was a remarkable dining experience, and I can't wait to try more of...
Read moreto dine in with my family of five, including a three-month-old baby, speaking Mandarin. The waitress's attitude was appalling. Despite available seats inside, we were told we had to wait for approximately 4 hours. Fine, no problem. They didn't provide us with a queue number. When I asked how we would know when it was our turn, I suggested leaving my Canadian phone number. The waiter insisted only local phone numbers were accepted. We were told to wait outside the door where no one else was waiting except us. The situation seemed more suspicious the longer we waited. So, I went back inside and spoke in English with another server. Their attitude immediately changed. They said the wait would be about an hour, took down my Canadian phone number, promising to text me when it's our turn. I couldn't believe it! A local friend recommended this place, so I wanted to try it. The food was okay, but it left a bad impression of...
