20-Aug2023. Update. From 4 stars to 1 star. This is very disappointed. We came for a breakfast at almost 12:00, we ordered set B and set D. The noodle texture is too soaked and the D set topping taste bad. You can have the same toppings and taste way better that this restaurant did. They changed the bun included in the set without any notice. The service is poor. We arrived at 12:00 and the waitress used a "commanding tone" and said "Give back the table to us!" and it was only 12:35! The cool drinks on our table are not finished yet, and the noodles bowls just been cleaned up by them. Very poor experience at this restaurant they treat people like animals. NOT recommend it anymore!
My old 4 stars reviews 5-7years ago: "Very tasty "星洲炒米 Singapore style fried vermicelli"! Not too salty & oily, but have a good taste of curry powder, bbq pork, scrambled egg etc. Lots of toppings. Very hugh portion for me, but I finished them because it was very addicted. Reasonable price. A casual place for a...
Read moreI had a Common Meal 3 for lunch, which is macaroni with ham and abalone strips + toasted bun with butter and sweetened milk + fluffy scrambled eggs + black coffee. The macaroni was above average with a reasonable portion; the toasted bun and scrambled eggs were good but not the best I have ever had; the coffee is okay, it's the a little sour type of coffee.
In addition, I ordered a Hong Kong styled baguette with scrambled eggs and minced beef. It's, again, not bad but not the best I have ever had.
The decoration is decent and place is averagedly clean. The staffs are helpful but kind of careless.
In overall, I would recommend you to try...
Read moreI ordered an ox tongue baked rice with tomato sauce for lunch, along with an HK drink, “Lovebirds” (coffee x milk tea). (鴦走,鮮茄牛脷焗飯,外賣)
The texture of ox tongues is soft and tender, nicely cooked. The tomato sauce leans on the salty side but is acceptable, especially with some vegetable pieces, including tomato, celery and carrots. The rice is also fried with eggs before baking (炒底), which makes it more filling and flavourful.
A delightful...
