Kuma Ramen is conveniently located in one of the liveliest streets in Jordan where there is a line of restaurants including some of the most famous eateries in town. The shop is immediately recognisable with the red ramen lantern outside the shop.

Kuma Ramen serves decent Tonkotsu ramen. The soup offers a poignant and delicate memory of Kyushu, and still remains hot till the last drop. Personally I prefer the 1.5mm noodles since they offer a more chewy texture that goes well with the soup.

The seating is spacious and comfy for a ramen shop, and can host around 20-30 people (my rough estimation). The toilet is also quite clean (although understandably crowded).

The staff are friendly and polite, which adds to the overall experience. The shop opens till 2200, which is good for people who have to work till late at night. You can pay by cash or Octopus card here.

Will come back to try...

During my previous trip to Tokyo, I didn't have the chance to try ramen because the popular ramen street near Tokyo Station always had long queues. However, this time, I finally fulfilled my wish to have authentic Japanese ramen at this renowned ramen shop in Jordan.

I opted for their signature Tonkotsu (pork bone) broth ramen with flame-seared char siu. The broth was rich and flavorful, with a deep pork bone essence. The flame-seared char siu had a delicious smoky flavor that complemented the broth perfectly. The cha siu was fatty and incredibly tender, and the egg with a molten yolk was cooked to perfection.

I must mention the complimentary condiments, particularly the spicy bean sprouts. They were incredibly spicy and added an extra kick to the ramen. They paired exceptionally well with the...

Had the fish broth ramen. I actually think the ramen was above average. Broth is rich though there is not a strong fish broth favor. The noodle was good. The pork was fewer than what you usually get but was fine. Yet, the worst thing about this ramen and many ramen places is their egg. It is basically just boiled egg, a bit runny inside but is just without flavor. That was the biggest disappointment. Visually I feel like the whole ramen looked a bit plain. Is kinda like what you get cooking at home regardless of the actual taste. I will say I may come back if I am around but I will say is just okay. Nothing too surprising or...

Was hoping to eat good Ramen in this place, after reading the reviews and saw the Q lines (supposed eateries with Q line, it shows they are serving delicious food) but what I got is less than expectations, the tonkotsu soup broth is thin & no body on it, i also ordered the fish broth Ramen, which I can't taste / feel any fish on the soup, then the noodles has no character, it feels like eat Ramen at food court. The saving grace is their gyoza, I admitted their gyoza one of the best so far I have ate in HK, easy 4 out 5 for the gyoza. Would I come back here for their ramen? NO Would I come back to eat their gyoza? YES
