The Worst Hotel I have EVER HAD in my life!!!!!
š”š”
Let me share how bad this ā4-starā hotel has been during my stay, so everyone would know!
This hotel has a āsoft-openingā at June, WHICH means NOT fully opened as most furnitures and facilities are NOT yet readyāāāno water boiler, no cups nor tea given, NO FRIDGE, and the AIR-con Wind speed is FIXED!𤯠But they are charging us FULL price for 4-star hotel room. HOW GOOD IT WAS.
The MANAGER WOULD open your door SUDDENLY in the morningššššš CAN YOU IMAGINE??? He would use his staff card to unlock your door and get inside your room to āCHECK SOME WIFI problemā I was like, āWTF are u talking about?āšµ Later when I complained, he replied he was sorry but he knocked my door 3 times so he think he could come in directly!!!!!š³š³ (P.S I am going to lodge a complain to hotel ranking and managing authorities ļ¼HKHA) about this encounter me and my friends were having! How unbelievably ridiculous was that!!!š)
The standard room you booked are going to be SUPERR small; it has a size of no more than 100sq feetāāāthe bed in the room occupied 80% of the whole room and there is only 5 inches space for you and your partner to walk through!! If you are not interested in sleeping in a sub-divided unit like this, you have to PAY an extra few hundred dollars to upgrade, just like I DID. I eventually paid hkd$250 more to upgrade to a NORMAL size hotel room, which is about 150-180 sq feet. On 20/F fyiš¢
The number of staff in this hotel is insufficient!!! You are expecting there is no one answering your call even you called through in-room hotline to front desk! As the front desk staff can be out elsewhere leaving NO ONE at front desk, so leave your questions to yourself OR wait maybe until the staff start seating the front desk again!ā¹ļøā¹ļøā¹ļø
Finally, I sincerely hope this hotel can IMPROVE their services and try to respect CUSTOMER PRIVACYš¤ If any of you hotel seekers are finding hotel near TST, please consider my above complains or you have to lower your standard of ā4-starā hotel if you choose to stay here at HILLWOOD House. šØ Be careful and lock the door, if you donāt want to see a manager unlocks your room and come in suddenlyššš
P.S FYR, we turned down their ānext time upgrade room offerā as we DO NOT THINK it is worth coming EVER...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTerrible. Absolutely terrible. Ive been staying in their serviced apartment for the past several months. During that time we had constant problems with water leaks, flooding, mould, ant infestations, broken air conditioning, broken fridge, etc. When you complain to the concierges they tell you its not their problem and to take the issue up with the landlord, who is never around. The concierges often treat you as nuisances, rather than customers. We even had one concierge laugh at us when we complained that the air conditioner upstairs was constantly dripping water on our air conditioner all night so we couldnt sleep. He refused to fix it. Eventually they tried to resolve the problem by dropping a towel on our air conditioner outside to muffle the noise. But we had to point out the potential fire hazard of covering all the air vents on our overworked air conditioner in summer. But the staff still would not fix the broken air conditioner upstairs. They so vindictive, they wont even ask the tenant to not use it. As a result we've been unable to sleep properly in the apartment, and the staff are deliberately unwilling to resolve the issue. When we told them we would complain to their head office (JLL) they told us they didnt have the contact number of their head office. We had to google JLL's contact number in the end. But after complaining to JLL, they are also not willing to do anything about these issues either, and most of the apartment's problems still remain unresolved. The concierges made loads of promises before we signed the lease, like they would fix any problems with the apartment that might occur. We fell for their lies because we thought JLL was a reputable company. But clearly they are not. The only attraction about this place was it was cheap and the apartment looked quite nice. But don't be fooled. unless you like waking up to a flooded apartment or ants crawling over you, it really isn't worth the grief. Wish i could give this place a zero star rating. I have so many horror stories about our experience at Hillwood Vista, but simply dont have the time to write them all down. All i can say is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe rooms were okay. I booked a deluxe room for two for about SGD160/night. For the price and location, i would say the room is still commendable. However if u travelling a large group, do note that the deluxe room only has one room per level and you canāt be together. I saw reviews about the QR code system, plastic sheet under the bed and having to reconnect to the wifi everyday. However, i think it wasnāt much of a problem. I put the QR code on my wallpaper throughout the trip and it was not much of a big deal as even if it was a card you also had to keepsafe it and take it out. Furthermore, i didnāt have to worry that i left my card in the room or whatsoever. The plastic sheet was not a distinct noise so i think it was fine and if you are not staying for a super long time i think connecting to the wifi everyday is fine because the connection was easy. I did not manage to take pictures of the room but u can search on booking.com and the room came the same. The walkway seemed small but it was quite spacious. Do note that they only provide you with toothbrush and toothpaste once throughout your stay and u have to purchase new ones if u need them. I stayed for 7 days and it was sufficient for me. They also do not provide ADDITIONAL slippers. Only once. You can opt in to clean your room before 3pm everyday. They will change your towels and toilet rolls if you require. Overall, i would say the stay was pleasant and it was located near Jordan station so if you want a convenient and affordable place to...
