My wife and I come here for our Peking Duck fix every time we're in Hong Kong. We usually come before 6pm (when they open) and hope for a seat and each time we've managed to be seated. As it's only two of us and we're here for the duck, we've always ordered a full duck and a soup or vegetable (varies). This time we got the duck and a braised vegetable with bean curd skin. The vegetable with bean curd skin came first (and fast) and was great esp. as we were hungry. Sadly we then waited 40 minutes for the duck. The upsetting part was that tables who came after us (we were among the first into the restaurant) got their ducks way before us. Anyway, our duck did come so we're happy at the end. It was as good as we had hoped - the taste and balance of meat and skin/fat is perfect. There is a bamboo steamer of thin translucent pancakes (each separated by a piece of paper) and each of us got our sauce and cucumber/scallions to go into our pancakes. We've eaten peking duck in quite a few cities (including several famous places in Beijing) but this is still our favourite. We'll be back the next time we're in HK.

Branch of the famous Peking Garden chain, but unusually, this branch offered an extensive dimsum menu during lunchtime with many northern style dimsums, as well as the local Cantonese ones. The mixture we tried were all well prepared and all very reasonably priced. The restaurant was spacious, elegantly decorated. A few tablets by the windows offered unparalleled view of the harbour, recommend to book these in advance. Service was friendly and efficient. Really nice place to drop in for a relaxing lunch. Update December 2021 Been back twice since the original review to try more dishes and downgraded it. Comparing to the branchs in Alexander House and Pacific Place, this branch clearly does not match the standards of the other two. One possible reason is during lunch times it caters for dinners coming mainly for Cantonese dimsums at competitive prices, in doing so, the chef/kitchen are not focused on the main Pekingnese menu resulting in corresponding reduction in standard.

We have been here years before and wanted to eat peking duck recently. We ordered a 8 dishes and 1 soup. The corn soup was salty, the fish as you can see is over fried. Not much meat. The Peking duck was not as good as before. The pancake was cold and the duck skin wasn’t crispy. But this wasn’t the worse part. The worse was the servers were like they didn’t want to serve. I understand they might be facing lacking of manpower. But we asked them to check on one of the dish which was just a simple braised cabbage and we have eaten up other dishes already. We asked the server if they could help us check and she said the chef is making it. 10 minutes later she came back and asked us what was our dish. So she lied to us and make us wait for nothing. We later cancelled the order and paid the bill and left. Overall food was just fair which doesn’t meet up with its price, overpriced. Service not helpful.

This was our favorite place for Peking duck pre-pandemic, and am glad it continues to deliver. The Peking duck came sliced, ready for diner to wrap. Each slice had just the right balance of meat and fat (rendered & not) under the crispy skin. YUM! The pancakes came separately in a steamer which I greatly appreciated as this made the pancake more malleable for novice like myself 😊. This place is still super popular, and I wondered if they have labor shortage issue as there were only 2 staffs manning the duck prep/slicing area even though almost every table was ordering a duck. We waited ~40min for our duck and we were among the early diners who came just before 6pm. So patience goes a long way and the reward is well worth it 😊.

First time try TST branch on New Year Day. When you walk in entrance, you will attract by the nice decoration and wall artwork. Peking duck is one of signature dishes at Peking Garden. I have ordered a serve with half duck but I am so disappointed. The Peking Duck meat is very dry and skin is not crispy. Same comment for the Pan Fried dumpling. Dumpling skin is not crispy and too oily. As an overseas vistor, our china town peking duck and pan fried dunpling are more delicious and fresh than hk. I guess Maxium needs to review their quality of signature dishes to maintain the brand of peking garden. I love the vegetarian duck dish which is recommended for

Went there mainly for peking duck. Dined in 2 times in a week. One dinner time and one during lunch. The food standard was up on par for the price paid. The peking duck was pre-cut in the kitchen against other restaurants that cut in front of the diners and served right at the table. The braised pork belly was another favourite. Drunken chicken was juicy and tender. In daytime, there was dim sum menu. The steamed dumplings were tasty. It used to have discount on various credit cards offer. However, approaching the Chinese New Year, this offer was cancelled by the restaurant.
