I recently visited the 1881 Heritage mall and was blown away by its unique blend of history and modernity. This upscale shopping mall is housed in the former Marine Police Headquarters, a stunning example of colonial architecture that dates back to 1881.

The mall is well-preserved and has been tastefully refurbished, with many of the original features still intact. As you wander around the mall, you'll come across historical exhibits that showcase the building's rich past. One of the highlights for me was the gallery of old photographs, which provided a fascinating glimpse into Hong Kong's colonial past.

The former Marine Police Headquarters located in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, was once a battle fort protecting the coastline of Kowloon, is now blended into the busy city with just little effort.

This 130-year-old historical has transformed into one of the most visited places in Hong Kong, a cultural and shopping landmark named 1881 Heritage.

Nowadays, it is occupied with exquisite retail shops, restaurants, stylish bars, heritage hotels; and a museum where you can learn about the history of the site.

In the pre-COVID era, this place is always crowded with tourists taking selfish or wedding couples taking perfect shots.

Still, this is a great place to visit if you're coming to Hong Kong.
