It is on the Michelin’s Bib Gournand guide, but it seems not very popular among the public. Not many customers in the restaurant so I can enjoy a quiet chitchat time with my friends. The Best dish of all I ordered is the Pla Phao. The skin is coated heavily with salt and baked with soft and tender. The flesh is very juicy and I can feel a hint of the herbs in the fish’s belly. The way to enjoy it is wrapping the flesh with lettuce, vermicelli noodles, mint leaves and dipping the wrap into the sweet and spicy sauce. The Khao soy and Larb Muang Moo are fairly ok. The soup of the noodles are fragrant and coconut-y. There are various toppings to pair with the egg noodles and the fried egg noodles. The noodles are ok but the toppings are perfect! The minced pork is very spicy and I like the chewy pork skin inside the minced meat. We each ordered drinks, and I order young coconut coffee. It is not sweet at all and the coconut tastes is much stronger than the coffee. It is a nice place to enjoy a good time with friends...
Read moreHoly smokes what a surprise! We kind of aimlessly looked for a restaurant for dinner and found ourselves in front of Saya. We saw that it was Thai food with nice décor so we decided to dine here. We were absolutely blown away by the food. This place had achieved the Michelin Guide's Bib Gourmand and they back it up with their great food. For starters, the staff were very friendly and helpful so that always adds to the experience. They offer a 90 minute free flow for wine/beer/sparkling as well. For the food, we had gotten the Khao Soy, the Pad See Ew and the Larb Muang Moo. All three of these were wonderful. The Khao Soy had and amazing curry with the perfect mix of regular noodles and fried noodles. The Pad See Ew had great wok hay and it was stir fried to perfect. Lastly we had the Larb Muang Moo and we had requested this to be extra spicy. They weren't kidding with the spice, but it was fragrant and absolutely delicious when paired with the lettuce and herbs. A 10/10 restaurant and will definitely be back...
Read moreThe menu is dominated by dishes from Northeastern Thai cuisine, delicately crafted by a Thai kitchen team. We tried a few dishes and they are certainly top notch in Hong Kong! Here are some of our faves-
🔸Khao Soi Aroma-laden northern Thai curry noodle soup made with fragrant coconut milk and spices, perfectly served wth two types of egg noodles 🔸Suea Rong Hai Grilled in northeastern Thai-style, the beef was marinated with spices, grilled then sliced to small pieces. Loved the tenderness of meat and the intense flavor, elevated with herbs-based dipping sauce 🔸Mango Sticky Rice Mango slices turned into a flower - a dessert both mouthwatering and...
