The Alchemist Cafe — Restaurant in Kowloon

Normally long queue, so quite popular restaurant... I used to eat there... I put originally 4 stars because it's nice and good atmosphere but I was super sick after eating this restaurant with an horrible gastroenteritis for a couple of days .. They should check the kitchen hygiene, the yuzu drink (the green drink on the photos) with their ice were probably contaminated... Might be a bad luck but i don't want to go there anymore and for a (cosy) restaurant we cannot risk client health. Hope they will clean the kitchen so i might consider this restaurant again. Marketed as a western restaurant, however the food was actually Asian food with a western twist to it. The food is delicious and the service was fast. However, the quality of the service could have been better as they were pretty robotic and inflexible with the menu.

We ordered our food at 18:03 and the lunch set menu finished at 18:00. We tried ordering from the lunch menu but the waiters insisted that we couldnt. I know we were wrong to ask but a little flexibility would have made the experience...

Service needs some work.

Was looking for a place to have a coffee with friends and this place looked good. Sat down, ordered a cappuccino, Americano and iced latte. Cappuccino came in five min. We chased the other two coffees after fifteen min. Thry had forgotten about the other two coffees and as we're sitting nearby, saw them start making the coffees. Not even any update that their being made.
