The staff at this restaurant gave off an uncomfortable vibe from the moment we walked in, as if they were just looking to make money off us. They served hot tea without informing us it would be charged, but you can tell them directly if you don’t want it. We wanted to order sliced abalone, but the staff said they didn’t have it. Instead, they pointed at sea cucumber with flower mushrooms and claimed it was the same thing (which is completely different from abalone). We said we don’t eat sea cucumber, and they then pointed to the flower mushrooms, saying they were delicious and recommended we order them.
In the end, we ordered shark fin, flower mushrooms, and one piece of abalone. The abalone was tasty but not worth the price — very small. The shark fin had no flavor, just a bunch of starchy thickening. As for the mushrooms, the earthy taste wasn’t even properly cooked out — extremely unappetizing.
