譚家魚翅 — Restaurant in São Lourenço

The staff at this restaurant gave off an uncomfortable vibe from the moment we walked in, as if they were just looking to make money off us. They served hot tea without informing us it would be charged, but you can tell them directly if you don’t want it. We wanted to order sliced abalone, but the staff said they didn’t have it. Instead, they pointed at sea cucumber with flower mushrooms and claimed it was the same thing (which is completely different from abalone). We said we don’t eat sea cucumber, and they then pointed to the flower mushrooms, saying they were delicious and recommended we order them.

In the end, we ordered shark fin, flower mushrooms, and one piece of abalone. The abalone was tasty but not worth the price — very small. The shark fin had no flavor, just a bunch of starchy thickening. As for the mushrooms, the earthy taste wasn’t even properly cooked out — extremely unappetizing. A very rude lady staff wearing glasses seemed unhappy with her job. She treated us disrespectfully even though we were extremely polite, tossing the menu at us and shouting when we placed our order, even though the restaurant wasn’t very busy at the time. It completely ruined the meal and our impression of Macau. Food is not cheap...

Rude and super slow staff, crazy long wait. Bad queuing management for seats. Even many customers paid and gone in shop, the staff dont let next group of customers to go in cause they cant manage. Totally not enough...
