Maxim's Palace — Restaurant in Sha Tin District

Omg, I have never ever experienced a time when my order never arrived at a restaurant, until today.

Totally shocking, had to wait for an hour for our table, shoddy service, just told our table was down the stairs and in the middle. Walked in and the place was massive so just wandered about looking for our table, which was nearly snatched by another family, luckily the table had our number scribbled on the order list. Ordered our food and waited... and waited. While we were waiting we picked various bits and pieces from the trolleys going around the place or we would have starved to death.

Food from the trolleys was meh, nothing special, siu mei, curry fishballs with squid, coffee creme dessert, ham sui koks, Dan tarts, fish maw with chicken, and ginger egg vinegar soup. Our order didn't arrive and so we left after an hour and 20 mins sat at our table, and after waiting for an hour for the table. Definately not worth a ten minute wait never mind an hour wait. Strangely enough the place was heaving and there was loads of people waiting. Looks like a lot of them are with out proper taste buds and have too much time. My first and last...

Surprised! Unlike before, not much selections of dim sums to be ordered in the afternoon - tea - time section. Having no comfortable table setting in the dining hall,the tables were congested and people were packed with shoulders to shoulsers. The afternoon tea section started at 2:00PM. It really isn't as good as you might think, as they forced us to eat fish instead of shrimp, a matter of confusing B and D. A waitress suspiciously looking too much like 何太 pretended to be marking down our orders but her piece of paper was empty.
