We had dinner at Riviera Songhelou restaurant on the Bund in Shanghai. It is very overpriced for the quality of food. It has good location on the Bund, great views of the lighted buildings at night, nice atmosphere and beautiful menu. But food is expensive and not very good. My crab soup with King crab looked so good on the menu, waiter recommended it and I decided to order it. It did not taste like crab at all. Cup of vegetable soup should not cost $14.5 (RMB 88). 4 Tiny pieces of yellow tail sashimi RMB 68. Several pieces of undercooked eggplant salad RMB 48. My husband had the same experience with his food. This is the worst value and satisfaction after spending RMB 500 on dinner on our trip to China. We had much better food for the fraction...
