Lax Cafe — Restaurant in Taipa

Food is decent, if you’re looking for something western. The waitresses there are always friendly. I have been many times. However the manager there needs to learn how to smile and show hospitality to her guests, actually even just learn how to be kind to people. Her presence of negativity is not pleasant to be around. Extreamly bad attitude every time I visit. So suprisly bad, it has compelled me to write this review.

Lax is a fab, albeit quirky, spot to find Western food. They serve breakfast all day, which is perfect after a late morning lie-in. It is conveniently located in Taipa near Central Park, Taipa Stadium, several key bus stops and the LRT station. Also, you can bring your pet to the restaurant with you, as they have a pet menu. Most of the service team is also quick and friendly, though they have their bad days. I particularly love the chalk artwork on the walls, which I am told is done by the head chef- Dennis. Terrible terrible service. No smiles at all, asked us to hurry even 2hrs before closing. Said no this no that, I’m suspecting that they don’t want to do the complicated drinks/desserts because it’s near closing time.
