I went here today with my boyfriend. This is the first place we came to on arrival to Bogotá and let me just say it was the worst first impression I’ve ever had. I have travelled many countries and I have never been treated so badly by a staff member in my whole life! I went up to the till to pay. The lady told me €37,000 COP, to which I repeated the amount back to her to make sure this was the amount as my Spanish is not too good. Her coworker was standing next to her and mocked me in Spanish, little does she know I could actually understand her. She laughed to her coworker while I stood there, calling me a stupid gringo and rolling her eyes. She was also mocking the way I said €37,000 by repeating it in this high pitched voice and making a face at me. I have never been so disgusted in all my life. She is only a young girl so I do not expect her to have much maturity anyway. I will not be going back to this place nor will I be recommending it to anyone! I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Absolute disgrace!!! It costs...
Read moreI really do not understand how this place has a 4.7 at the time of writing.
The coffee is, assuming you want coffee and not some nice milk art on your coffee, just awful. We ordered one Espresso and Americano. The color of the Espresso was like a weak Americano. We returned it and the new one was half the volume, a bit darker, but still weaker than strong filter coffee or a stronger Americano. The Americano had some garbage floating in it. After also getting a new Americano, the taste and smell was non-existent.
The term black coffee comes from coffee without milk being black. Neither the Espresso nor the Americano were close to black.
The food was better, but when talking about the worst coffee, better is not really an endorsement.
The service is also abysmal, the wait times for the first order, the Espresso and Americano replacement and the bill at the end were simply unacceptable. I wrote the review and searched for a decent alternative while waiting for the bill. Then we walked to the counter to pay, since...
Read moreThis coffee house felt like a classic coffee house in it's atmosphere. The menu and service were very professional. Among other things, the menu highlighted the different coffee regions of Colombia along with their distinctive characteristics. When I ordered, the drinks were made at the table, including the hot chocolates for the kids. Unfortunately the coffee itself was not very good. To me that is the main indicator of a good coffeehouse - the quality of the coffee. If the atmosphere or the service is more important to you, or you are into milk based drinks, maybe this is a 4 or 5 star place. It is worth a visit for...
