El Altillo Cafe Sta Bárbara — Restaurant in Bogota, Capital District

Lot of reasons to love this place - Visited this place with my wife and I had a great experience. What I liked the most about this place is that they have a lot of traditional snacks from Colombia and Argentina. I absolutely loved their empanadas. Those were delicious!!

The coffee they serve is Lavazza, which isn't my favourite. Considering this is Colombia they could introduce a good colombian coffee.

My only grouch is about the service. The service is pretty good, but that there are only two people to wait the tables and we noticed that the staff were really up to their neck waiting the dozen or so tables with about 50 guests. The staff really do a good job. A word for the management, probably better to put a third service person at least during the weekends and busy times.

I would totally go back to this...

Dentro de esta cafetería sientes como si estuvieras en un rincón cálido y acogedor, casi como en la costa. La decoración con plantas en las paredes y los tonos cálidos en el espacio crean una sensación de hogar que hace que la experiencia sea aún más placentera. Además, la atención es excelente, te hacen sentir bienvenido desde el primer momento.

En esta ocasión, pedí un brownie de arequipe y un café latte. Como hacía bastante calor, opté por una bebida fría, aunque la única opción con café disponible era el latte frío. En cuanto a los precios, me parecieron bastante razonables considerando que la cafetería está ubicada en una zona exclusiva de Usaquén.

Lo único que resaltaría es que el brownie tenía un nivel de azúcar un poco elevado para mi gusto. Tal vez hubiera sido ideal acompañarlo con algo más neutro para equilibrar los sabores. Aun así, la experiencia en general fue muy positiva y definitivamente volvería para probar otras opciones del menú, como los vinos de Chile...
