If a friend hadn’t recommended this place, I probably would not have noticed it from the outside. Although it is located on a popular street in chapinero, inkkei is a small Asian restaurant that almost feels like an authentic, hidden spot. It is definetly not hidden though, with lots of people enjoying their rice bowls, ramen and sushi for lunch.

There are about 5-6 tables plus some bar seats, and an open kitchen, making it a very cozy spot that feels like it could be somewhere in Japan. Now, the food and flavors were so good! I had the vegetarian ramen with tofu and a ginger tea - both tasted amazing. I was surprised that they had vegetarian options, also including a yummy looking rice bowl with vegetables.

The only reason I would give it 4 stars is because it is a bit tight and dark, but for some that might be charming in its own way. Either way, I would defintely go back for their ramen and next time, maybe also try...

The place is small, but pleasant, even though I heard they are expanding the restaurant! The food is very fresh and flavors of the sushi are exquisite. With great combination and fushion of Colombia also. They had a teriyaki sauce infused with panela (just WOW) that I was just in love with it. The sushi itself doesn't need any soy sauce since it's already flavorful. I had 5 rolls all excellent. The naruto rice bowl also excellent. The fried rice was on point without any oily taste and flavorful. The goyza was also very good and we had some edamame. It didn't have any salt which was tasty in my opinion. Service was excellent and our waiter knew the whole menu and had some great recommendations. Overall the restaurant is...

Soooo BIG NEWS!! As of June 2025 this amazing neighborhood gem at which I’ve happily eaten dozens of times has expanded to the large, comfortable, indoor space adjacent to its original cramped and (mostly) outdoor space. How will the outstanding quality of both the food and service adapt to the expansion? This will be a key question for the Chapinero Alto restaurant scene. I strongly encourage you to try it...
