I am giving this place a 1-star to lower the average rating of what this place actually is. I actually think the location is exceptional and there are some good hosts that work there. Let me tell you about my experience the first time I arrived at Seratta. Oh wait, they told me they were closed at 11:30pm (on a Tuesday, granted) but their hours say 1:00am for closing. If that is no longer the case during the weekdays and you have flexibility, CHANGE THE HOURS. This is supposed to be a high end place and it should be expected to have high end service in every category due to their own standards.
The second time I arrived (made sure I was early) I was ignored at the front for several minutes, again on a weekday. It seems their philosophy Is that the weekdays aren’t as important, which as a business owner I can understand that making your cost make sense is of high importance, but this place markets themselves as the top. So it needs to be rated like the top.
I agree with some of the other reviews that the food is okay, maybe some dishes are good, but in context, there are much better restaurants and quality for a lesser price. The prices reflected in other country’s currency needs to also be taken into context as it is the principal, not the actual dollar amount. If I was to give a true rating on high end restaurants, this one is...
Read moreVery nice looking restaurant but not much else going for it. Cocktails menu has some fancy gimmicky Cocktails (smoke , mixing ingredients while saying a story about them, etc) that are expensive but don't deliver on flavor more of a show. Unfortunately food was along same notes mediocre at best especially for their prices. Croquettes we blah , papas bravas had good chorizo but too much cheese which was what you could primarily taste only. Osso bucco needed to be be more tender, pasta with it was not seasoned at all and tomato sauce was very bland no salt and needed to be cooked down. Chicken with orzo had good flavor on the chicken, but again their orzo pasta was underseasoned and tomato sauce needed to be cooked down way more. Service was bad even though place was pretty empty . Waiters didn't know the menu so each time asked question about cocktail or food they had to go check with someone and come back. Even though we placed appetizers first and had to wait 15mins for them the croquettes appetizer came 20mins later with the main courses. We felt as if this was a tourist trap, which is a shame cause ambiance is great but food and service...
Read moreThis place when it opened a few years had an inventive menu at albeit a hefty price tag. Sadly what remains today is the price tag and not much else. Despite some nice decor, the food and drink are classic examples of style over substance. Bland and poorly prepared food served on gaudy china accompanied by tasty cocktails comprised of tiny measures of alcohol. The service was slow and the plates for our table of 10 came out of the pass at hugely different times. So much so one of our diner's mains arrived after everyone else had finished their meal. I had to return my main twice as it arrived cold to the table. I used to like this place but can only recommend you avoid presently.
I ordered:
Fried camembert with pink pepper sauce (2/5) Parmesan wheel pasta with...
