Went there for coffee and cake, found them, but left with the feeling that something better should be done with that much space. Place is huge, entrance seems small, but it is just the entrance because inside the place is seriously huge. There are lots of tables, different kinds of them and different kinds of seats too. And... that's the best of it. My coffee and cake... finally got a cappuccino and a piece of Cheesecake with Oreo Crust. The cheesecake had burned crust, and trust me, burned Oreo crumbs is not a good flavor, not bad either, but not something to enjoy; the cheese in the cheesecake was just mediocre, and it felt like it had been ready for selling for quite a long time. And the coffee, it looked very nice, but flavor was not at all close to the expectations created by the appearance; if you need a quick fix of caffeine you got it, but this is not the place to enjoy a coffee. Place has lots of potential, but none of it has been developed, not fully, not even close to that

We went to Café Magola Buendía during our little walking tour in the center of Bogotá (Candelaria). From the outside, it is hard to guess what lies behind the walls. Once we got in, we found a cozy little area with tons of small corners (with tables and sittings) where friends and couples join to drink a coffee or eat of piece of cake. It feels a little bit underground since the decoration feels like a curiosity shop! Highly recommended!

What a nice surprise to find such a lovely place in down town! We went to a “Tertulia” with the great Juan Jesús Vallejo and Alejandro Bernal, and fell in love with such charming place. We ordered chocolate cachaco and pizza, both were really good and perfect for the weather. They’ve got a chimney as well which makes the atmosphere cozier and of course, nicer. Can’t wait to be back!

Nice, eclectic courtyard restaurant and café. Varied menu. I ordered a hot beverage with panela and lulo that was delicious! Here you can have the traditional santafereño chocolate served with cheese to melt, almojábana and bread, nice empanadas, grilled corn in cob with butter, specialty coffees, and other traditional delicacies and main dishes, as well as desserts. The atmosphere is eclectic, colorful, and vibrant. A nice spot for a pit stop while walking La Candelaria...
