Been passing by this franchise in Colombia a few times (all over the big towns) and finally decided to try after a long walk within the walled city of Cartagena. If you are visiting Cartagena, highly recommend trying this franchise and get your walk in of the walled city before or after your meal. The design and decor of every floor were captivating and mesmerizing with tall lofty ceilings with 3 floors. It is worth dining later in the early evening on the 3rd floor (outdoor) with amazing view of sunset.
Unless i missed it, all their crepes and waffles are savoury (like waffle with eggs and ham; crepe with cheese and eggs).
Highly recommend the Sartén Marroquí (first item) dish under Huevos (eggs) section - it's eggs covered in tomato sauce, onions, cheese and a while of amazing herbs(breakfast menu only). It was so so so delicious. It was confusing on the process order of how the bread ordering works - there was a staff walking around with different types of bread in a tray and pretty sure they were free (the mains like the tomato sauce with eggs and onions didn't come with bread to dip so we had to call her back for bread after dismissing her the first time). 🤭
🌱 Plethora of vegetarian options.
🔔 My only complaint was the speed of service - everyone was on "Caribbean" / Colombia time! 😅 The staff congregated and chit chat in a group so hard to get their attention sometimes. Orders took at least 10-15 mins, even for just a fruit bowl! But the beautiful atmosphere with tall ceiling was...
Read moreI went today, Tuesday the 29th, overall the food WAS good!! However, there was clearly a misunderstanding when I ordered the Mexicana con pollo I pointed at the SOUP and when our waitress Karen wrote it down she didn’t ask me any further questions. When i received my food it was the Mexicana con pollo CREPE which we kindly told her that I had asked for the soup and not the crepe she said “no you didn’t”. Thankfully my friend spoke more Spanish than me and explained that I did in fact point at the soup and again she NEVER clarified with me or even asked. The only thing that upset me was that she was extremely rude about it and tried disagreeing with us and just stared at us instead of even offering the soup. As a waitress I was appalled by her behavior but i understand that some people have bad days however it was definitely a small easy fix but it definitely didn’t feel that way. We did ask to speak to the manager because she was clearly not interested in resolving the issue but apparently the manager was “too busy”. We paid...
Read moreI give it 1 star because the food is very, very good. Where do I begin. It will be great if everyone has their food at the same time but this is just wishful thinking here. Noone and I mean noone here smiles or greets the guests. Noone even says thank you or please. The waitresses are all just walking up to you when they want to. Everything happens very slow and very chaotic, you can have some of the items that you ordered come and when you are done with the whole meal the other items will show up. If you are here on a busy night you are in for a ride ha ha. Becuase of the poor service ofcourse the tip is included in the bill and unlike all the other restaurants that we tried in Colombia they do not even ask you if that is ok.
I revised my review to 2 stars because we ate here a second time and the food was again very good. Unfortunately the service was...
