Private room at the Clock Hostel
#1-BE WARE OF FREQUENT WATER OUTAGE AT THIS PLACE!!!
Location-5 stars: this place is located at a very convenient location, which makes it very walkable and fun to see all the vendors. Very IG worthy but that's about it.
Service-3 stars: staff are so so. If you're in the hospitality business... you gotta know some English & be some what helpful & extra friendly when the water is out. Management needs to do better at training their staff. Breakfast is a small portion of salty scrambled eggs, 2 slices of toast, a cup of fruit & a cup of nasty second class coffee-ironic that Colombia is known for coffee but... let's move on. Spend a little extra and go support other local businesses that have better coffee and cheap bread a few doors down.
Room-my private opened into a flight of stairs & good luck those who have large feet. Upon my arrival, the room was sweltering like a sauna. The AC was off & no one care to get it ready. At night the AC wouldn't go into its auto cycle so it ran constantly all night long. The light on the AC couldn't be turned off so it was also a night light above my head. In a private room, you are offered 2 towels instead of having to pay 10K COP for one. It was mostly quiet bc of the AC background noise until almost breakfast time. Read moreDO NOT STAY HERE!!!|I had reserved a full bed in their 'penthouse' through booking.com, and what we found ourselves with is a hostel that has been neglected since it was built. Absolutely everything was dirty, ceilings and walls full of mold, cockroaches in kitchen and one that climbed up my laptop. Bathrooms dirty and without toilet paper, just a disaster. We requested another regular bed, as our penthouse was full of flying ants (photo of lamp). Wooden floors are all broke, doors as well (0 maintenance).|It appears that when it was built it was a very nice concept, but it has been unfortunately let go of. They didn't even have towels available for rent (so we couldn't even shower).||We rented a bed for 4 nights, but ended up staying for one and requesting a refund for the rest. The front desk were nice to not fight it and refund us.|Absolutely no idea why this is rated 8.2 in booking.com. ||Find this same review in google so you can see some photos I uploaded. ||Unfortunately, not a building or location I would recommend, too many partying people in the...
