404 house pizza — Restaurant in Medellín

This is literally the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. I say that without exaggeration. It was supposed to be half pepperoni, half “groovy”.

First, the box is completely soaked through with oil. As you can see in the pictures, half of the pizza (the “groovy” half), doesn’t even have ingredients on it. It’s not because they slid off either. The ingredients aren’t even in the box! They were never on the pizza to begin with. The whole right half is drowned in some kind of disgusting sweet sauce. You can see it pooled in the upper right corner of the box. There’s so much of it it’s inedible. And I’m not picky with food by any means. The crust itself is so undercooked and drowned in oil and “sauce” that you can’t pick up a slice.

It’s absolutely unacceptable and shameful that this trash was allowed to leave the kitchen. And with delivery the total was $67,000cop it’s essentially theft. I tried to pick some of the few toppings off to eat but there was so much of the sickly sweet sauce that I just trashed the whole thing. Even the box itself left a nasty mess on the table. I love their pizza, so I decided to try a calzone. I requested it with only pepperoni, and the waitress confirmed the order as "no meatballs." I suggested they could replace the meatballs with extra pepperoni. However, upon returning home, I discovered the calzone contained a light serving of pepperoni and a larger serving of a strong, dark gray meat—possibly diced meatballs—that overwhelmed the flavor and aroma. After a few bites, I had to stop eating. It also seemed to barely have any cheese. I was already home, so I wasn't going to travel back to have them remake it. Disappointed, I guess I'm still searching for an authentic calzone in Medellín that has a healthy serving of cheese and lots...

Five+ stars for ambiance, service, and music (spacious seating, low lights, friendly attentive owners, and upbeat old school jams that make you want to dance).

Two stars for pizza. The tomato sauce is the main flavor in a pizza. They forgot to add extra sauce to my pie, but were kind enough to bring some out on the side. Unfortunately, the sauce was watery, tasteless, unseasoned, and bland. I was really hungry and looking fwd to NY style pizza, but this didn't satisfy the craving.
