AL ALMA Laureles — Restaurant in Medellín

My experience was ok. Nothing special. Food was ok. For the price on high sight. In my opinion they a bit overrated for what they serve.

Not very professional that waiter did not give me or my friend the bill/ receipt. I think I overpaid for my stuff but didn't want to make a problem. That is why they should give it to everyone to check it out.

Chicken was overcooked and very dry. Pizza base was burned, dry and very very crunchy. Topping was good. Salsa was tasty. Not much lettuce in this salad.

Coffee was tasty. Carrot cake was big and very tasty. I would definitely recommend it. 10.000 and very small brownie 7.500 - a bit overpriced for the size and taste.

Service was difficult to catch up. They were very busy even was not much people, but just 2 waiters.

Ambient was nice. They have different kind of bread for buying.

Good thing that you can pay by card. For the price of 68.000 for coffee, cake and salad I could recommend better places to go...

The place is beautiful and the food is great too, but the service is just absolutely terrible. For a high end spot like this one that charges much more than any other place in Colombia, the staff has to be trained way better. You can wait 10-15 mins just to get the menu, and usually you don’t even get it unless you go look for a waiter. Same thing happens with ordering or asking for the bill. They are so slow and there are never enough waiters. Today the restaurant was 100 % full and there was only one waitress!!! She wasn’t managing at all and they don’t even say sorry when I have to repeatedly ask them to take our order after 20 mins of waiting. They just say they’re busy. So I really hope that people who own the place and have invested so much money into it, will fix their staff problem, cause this is super frustrating. What a beautiful space! Very cute and quaint. It’s well decorated and well equipped especially for a bit of work.

The menu looks great though I only tried the croissant. That was good and their coffee too.

It’s next to the street but it doesn’t get that loud so it’s still a very comfortable place for working.

There are cute little nooks to sit in. They also have a conference room.

The only downside I found was that they’re persistent in taking more orders from you even if you just ordered. They make it pretty uncomfortable sometimes.

I also wanted to take two tables to save it for a friend coming and they came back to me 3 times to ask to separate it. Even if I’d already explained the situation.

I don’t mind freeing up space especially when it’s busy but it wasn’t even half full. Plenty of room.
