TLDR; if you want real Japanese food or sushi, I would recommend not coming here. The ambiance is nice, the service was okay, the presentation was decent, the food quality was concerning.
A bit more; The waiter defined the place as "experimental" and the menu prided itself as Japanese - but the food misses the mark and it's far from being Japanese and fresh. So, one star. Food quality is absolutely essential to a business.
We ordered; Two bottles of water, edamame, shoyu ramen, geisha burrito, spider roll (medio), and happy budah (medio). A total cost of about 172,000 pesos with service included (very expensive considering the quality and amount).
The noodles in the ramen tasted like they were from packaged ramen, this was not eaten. The spider roll was unimpressive. The edamame came with peanuts and peanut sauce which looked interesting, but it really is not a great combination. The geisha burrito was presentable, but it was not good at all - the tuna was extremely firm. It's comparable to canned tuna that's been left out and hardened; it tasted fishy and generally not something that should be considered edible unless you feel like taking a risk with food poisoning (surprise, I ate one bite and did get sick).
The only okay item was the happy budah roll, but it was nothing outstanding and was still a bit rubbery.
We normally don't waste food, but the meal wasn't good. So we courteously paid and left most of it. The server offered a flan as a way to apologize, but considering the way everything else tasted, we passed on it.
I totally understand the need to cater a food menu to the local market, but it should honor the cuisine you're trying to serve - this current menu really doesn't do it justice.
What the restaurant can do to be better; You can't make it up to me but for yourselves you can get better quality food and experiment more on what really works. Be fusion - with fresh ingredients.
I hope things change and the business eventually thrives. Thank you...

Myself being a die-hard sushi fan and my partner having lived in Japan over a year, we knew that this would just be a bit of fun rather than expecting incredible, authentic flavours
And fun we did have! From the first moment, the friendly server places and pencil and table mat- a sheet of paper that they put down on the table as you arrive which has games and a word-search on it - and we were already getting competitive, laughing our arses off playing
No one seemed to mind and looked like they wanted to join in on the fun we were having
The Food The menu was extensive! So many different crazy options like sushi burger, burrito, taco, hotdog, poke bowls and more! And alllll the flavours and combos. There is such thing as too much choice…
After much deliberation we ordered a sushi burrito and sushi tacos to share - as much as we wanted to try everything on the menu, it was very filling just the one plate each so we missed out on some things I’m sure.
It tasted as one expected. Pleasant enough for a few bites; plenty of different flavours confusing your palate. I bit heavy and I knew it would give my sensitive stomach a bit of a seeing to (it did. Felt crampy after dinner)
Definitely lacking refinement and subtlety but again… sushi burrito… duh.
Admittedly it was a bit on the pricier side for Medellin, and I’ve yet to find a place which serves food to write home about.
That’s why it gets 3.5 Stars (but because I’m nice I rounded up to 4. But it’s...
