Crepes & Waffles — Restaurant in Medellín

I have been enjoying this restaurant almost daily during my one week stay in Medellin. If not for the inconsistent service, I could easily give this establishment a 5-star rating.

Tonight my server was having a hard time understanding my modest command of Spanish. I simplified my request to the extreme and actually presented it to her in a translator on my iPhone.

I was totally humiliated when she and three other servers (who were standing around) started laughing at my attempts. I got angry and almost left but I figured for the benefit of management I would share my experience.

I did request to speak to the manager but I was told that there was none present. I have had relatively poor service at this restaurant before but sometimes it has...

Awful Customer Service. Turned away an hour before close with dismissive gestures and rude comments. We had horrible service by the ladies working on the 2nd floor at Santefe Mall in Medellin. As soon as they heard my daughter speak English they waved her off and kept telling her no several times that they were closed. They were also making snide comments and laughing. It was only a little after 8pm. It was shameful the way she was treated. Very disappointing as we were looking forward to trying the desserts here. Whoever manages this store really needs to speak with those three ladies about their poor treatment...

Although they have excellent assortment of ice cream and desserts, I decided to go and check out their food menu. We ordered the Caesar salad to start, it was good, but not exactly Caesar. We ordered the Pannecook De Camarones En Salsa De La Casa (Marcopolo) and Pannecook De Camarones Al Ajillo, I must say it was very delicious and the variety gave us the opportunity to try two different types in a familiar bread bowl. The service is very slow and often we had to repeat our order or to see the whereabouts on our drinks (Coke zero). Had to remind the server to bring back change, etc. Food was great, the service...
