This place was on a list for best steak in Medellin. We decided to give them a try, and the fact it was in walking distance from our hotel was a plus. We were greeted and seated immediately. The server quickly recommended the imported steaks, which we declined as we wanted to try Colombian steak. We ordered a reasonably priced bottle of wine, empanadas, filet, and rib eye steak. The appetizers were decent, but we wished it mentioned the addition of eggs as we typically don't have eggs. The steaks were a huge disappointment. They were not cooked to proper temp, and the medium rib eye was black and blue. It was also completely tough and impossible to chew. When we alerted the server about this, he completely ignored us even though we repeated our concerns and used Google translate to ensure he understood what we were saying. We had steak at many restaurants in colombian and can attest that this was, in fact, the worst piece of meat we had had on our trip. I don't know why this restaurant was on the list of top steaks in Medellin. What a...
Read moreWe've been to their location at Interplaza Mall in 2023 on our first trip to Medellin, and had a great time. This time we went to their Las Palmas location. The chicken empanada was probably the best I've had, definitely a different take on the filling. My SO and his had ordered the parrilla because that's what Abuelo always orders. It was really good. I had the chicken milanesa a neopolitan, and the serving was huge! And topped it ofd with a bottle of their house Malbec and some tres leches ice cream to share. Service was a bit confusing at first, but we figured out who was the lead waiter for us. Otherwise, everything was yummy. I've never had maduros made this way (cheesy, sweet, and creamy) - it was awesome! Make sure to order several appetizers to hold you down if you're coming in with an empty stomach. One thing I've come to embrace about Colombia is their go-with-the-flow pace once they convince you to eat at their restaurant. Just kick back,...
